4:50 Heyo Benz tech here. This is caused by a couple things. Aftermarket spark plugs will have crusher washers instead of solid washers, the direct injection will cause fuel to leak past the crush washer and when you open the driver door the me wakes up and causes the coils to discharge igniting the fuel and blowing up the intake

We had a Hemtt lose TWO wheels off of it... They just plum flew off Sarge! My guy was going to get a statement of charges until we figured out that the mechanic put Left-handed studs on the WRONG side of the truck... Big 8x8 truck goes forward down the road... Loosens the lug nuts as it's rolling... Fun Fact: When there is no wheel on the axle, the brake drums don't stay on either! Trucks experience "stopping lag" when brake shoes only have "blue tooth" brake drums... Yeah... I can TOTALLY believe someone can drive with the air brakes locked up and be clueless about it... I pulled someone over on Manchester Road/Fort Bragg for that VERY thing... FMTV just barreling along... Smoke just billowing out of the wheels of that water buffalo... I got right by them, blew my horn and yelled... You're on FIRE Dude! They pulled over and jumped out with the fire extinguisher... @erintheangry

@@Runco990 That was my truck. I paid 2 grand for it from a widow after her husband died and there was a fist sized hole in the floor at the time. I got laid off and it sat for a year and by the time I got a chance to start working on it, the rust had ruined it. The safety laws up here in Canada are SO ridiculous now that for me to get anyone to safety it I'd have had to order a cab or find someone to fabricate identical floor pans. I used to see aftermarket pans all the time to stitch weld in but not anymore. The rockers were gone. The frame was getting soft. Upper and lower control arms were gone. Brakes were gone. Ball joints, tie rods gone. Bumped the box with a tool chest and a wall of rust/bondo fell out on the driver side. I actually stepped right through the floor before I started filming that. It hurt me bad to do but I took it to the scrapyard and got a measly 500 dollars back. We needed the shop space in a hurry or I would have pulled the engine and tranny and sold or stored those as they were actually pretty low miles. Around 150k kilometers. The amount of work and time even if cost wasn't a factor was too high so I gave it up and found another one. This one's a 2005 3.0L 2WD that's been kept basically mint. And I plan to keep this one for a VERY long time.

Whilst I am aware that vehicle inspections are governed State by State, you would think that insurance companies would want to reduce liabilities by covering unroadworthy vehicles, and that the owner/ driver would want to make sure that at a minimum they would be in a safe vehicle. WHY do people put tape over warning lights? Closing your eyes doesn't make the problems go away. Besides, if you don't plan on getting anything fixed, just let the lights be on. How does blocking the warning lights help? You know they are still on, and you can still see the tape, so what is the difference? Either get it fixed or live with it. Don't try to hide your problems. And most check engine lights are harmless, like bad sensors. I have a bad tire pressure sensor and just let the light on the dash be on. I'm not spending $80+ for a sensor that is not necessary. I just regularly check the tire pressure with a gauge.

4:30 This is actually a fairly common issue on GM 4.2L I6 engines, such as found in 2002-2009 Trailblazers, Envoys, etc. The sensor has an internal seal that goes bad over time, allowing oil to leak past it. You'll get erratic oil pressure readings, and the vehicle will mark it's place on your driveway with oil spots. Super easy to fix. The sensor lives right above the oil filter. Remove the filter and there it is. You'll need a 27mm or 1-1/6 deep socket and a flex head ratchet to remove the sensor. I've done the one on the wife's '06 TB, and the one on my '04 TB twice.

the diff one looks like a G80 differential, also known as the "Glass Locker" for a reason.. it was the most easily destroyed differential put into a heavy duty truck ever. cause the tiny locking device was also on tiny rods that would shear under load, causing the locking device to fall into the spider gears and then shatter the spider gears.

0:57 Rusty Ford's go to the scrap yard. Rusty Chevrolet's go to Costco. 4:32 Nearly any Saturn from 99-03-ish with the SOHC and DOHC 4cyl engines were known to have coolant leaks from the factory temp sensor because they made the tips out of plastic. The constant heat cycles and being in coolant for so long would cause the tip to crack and leak, sometimes shorting out the wiring. The obvious fix wasn't just replacing them, but the aftermarket sensors were brass and it's not uncommon to find them with an included plug to replace the factory plug.

That was my old truck. I bought it from a widow cheap and was planning to patch the floor but the safety regulations up here in Canada are so ridiculous now even if I went through the trouble I couldn't find anyone who would safety it. I probably could have saved it if I hadn't experienced a period of unemployment and didn't let it sit for a year. The frame was passable when I got it but by the time I came off being laid off and got the money together the rust had spread everywhere. The more I dug through the truck the more issues I found. I decided to just scrap it and not throw good money after bad. Sad these guys cut the audio out of it and the picture I had in the video of me giving a thumbs up to the camera while looking through the floor. I've got a 2005 grey ranger now that's been kept basically mint. If I had a place to keep them I probably would have pulled the engine and transmission out and either stored or sold them. They were low mileage and worked perfect. Shame the old fellow never got the thing rust proofed.

@@erintheangry I owned two Ford Rangers. The first went 300,000 miles. The second went 171,000 miles before being rear ended and totaled. Neither had rust issues. As Ford quit making the Ranger, I now have a 2017 Nissan Frontier that has gone over 100,000 miles with very few issues.

@ Yeah once I checked out 12 garages, 3 body shops and 1 antique vehicle restorer place, finding nobody who would put their name down on a safety even if a proper shop had done the work, I started get suggestions to contact a company called "Southwest US" and said I could order a whole cab to swap in from Texas I was like "yeah.... nah." I'm pretty sure I don't have the skills to do that big of a job and I definitely don't have the facilities or time. I'll just have to baby this other one I have. Kinda glad this one isn't 4WD even though we get nasty winters... keeps me from playing with it taking it off road. heh.

I own a 2007 ranger like the one in this video, even the same COLOR, that area is common for snow to melt and then sit when the driver gets in and then it’ll rust through, and the fake carpet underneath doesn’t help with the moisture (mine had mold on it) I found it early and removed the rust and paint before painting over it, relaxing the fake carpet and got myself some weathertech mats to help, 217k still strong, my frame I also coated with underbody paint after pressure washing the whole thing, she still strong and frame is good but man that poor truck is GONE 😂

@@Sashazur I don't know what sort of Kias you get over there, but in the UK they come with a seven-year warranty from new, and generally have a fairly good reputation for reliability. But of course, the warranty is only valid if you do boring stuff like actually getting the car serviced at the proper intervals.
