This is bittersweet. I'm irrationally attached to these two. They both bring such a smile to my face regardless of how long the day has been. I know them better than I know most people in real life. Every minute expression, every unspoken word. I could rewind certain moments again and again and again and feel something different each time. I feel as if I've spent half my life with them but they don't even exist. "Here dwell together still two men of note, who never lived, and so can never die."

This comment downplays the value and significance of platonic relationships. Platonic relationships can be just as powerful as romantic ones, if not more. Sherlock was not an unfeeling sociopath as he claimed to be, he was indeed capable of love, which was time and again proven by his unwavering loyalty to John, the only person he considered his friend in the whole world.
