I love how you make their birthdays so special. I'm a mom of 4. I have 2 sons and 2 daughters. My youngest is 19. It was apparent that you felt your gifts weren't liked. You made several comments to Izzy that were a little uncomfortable to hear. Regardless, of whose gift she preferred more, it's her birthday so you should let her day be special without feeling like she has to choose a favorite present. If, in your opinion, she seemed a little underwhelmed by your present, it doesn't mean it wasn't liked. I'm not sure how you select gifts, but I always ask my kids for their wish list. Their lists can include as many things as they want to add, and you can (based on budget) select what you want to purchase. This way, they get some of the things (maybe all if you can afford it) they wanted and you don't have to wonder what to buy, what they'll like, what they want, or what they would enjoy. And whatever you can't get, you can roll the remaining items onto their Xmas list.
