Basically jazmine and kim have twin voices: Beautiful coloratura runs.(well kim is a coloratura mezzo, I don't know if jazmine is but I greatly think so) Raspy. Great audible lows. The only thing that might be different now is that kim is mixing some Bb5s!! I haven't heard jazmine do that yet, but we'll see.

‘colorutura’ runs isn’t just about sheer speed and acuity running up consecutively up and down the scales.. it’s a bit more nuanced than that. It’s a specific technique used to execute the melisma and movement/articulation of whatever melodic bar being sung. Its’ a different type of dexterity required on both extremes of the voice, through ALL registers especially head voice..the way the transitions weave in out throughout in those hard passagio spots, switching between legato and stacatto.. even portomento within a line itself. You really have to be trained and skilled in that discipline and I see ppl throw it around for any singer that has lightning fast/acute agility.

storm shadow they both have the potential absolutely! their agility is C R A Z Y. i just don’t think they’ve been technically trained within that specific discipline/style. The only mainstream mezzo in popular music (rnb/soul, pop, gospel, jazz, funk) that has shown genuine coloratura facility is Beyonce, Ella Fitzgerald and Lala Hathaway and its because of their indepth classical training/background. Jazz and Kim are simply mutant vocal beasts with the fastest and most nimble instruments. pure sorcery lol
