Before he signed on he was supposed to portray a stereotypical kung fu master with a sword and wearing traditional Chinese clothing and he flat out told them no. He came up with that he wears clothing similar to John Wick, has a grim sense of humor, and even his blindness and his name!

Sounds like a solid plan, but it's conceivable that they concluded the series due to John Wick's advancing age, which could potentially compromise the authenticity of his stunts. This predicament makes a simple prequel less viable, as he might appear too aged, and casting another actor could lack the same impact, in my humble opinion. However, only time will reveal what lies ahead! Great movie!

The fight up the stairs is a reference to Sisyphus, the Greek king of Corinth. He cheated death twice and was therefore forced by Hades, for all eternity, to push an enormous boulder up a hill only for it to roll back down the hill every time it got near the top. In one scene it visualises what John Wick has been doing for 4 movies now - constantly trying to get away from his old life only to be drawn back down into the pit. It also represents life: struggles will bring you down, but you have to keep trying otherwise you'll never crawl off the shitheap.

I absolutely LOVE the ending to this movie. It's perfect because it's open to interpretation. Notice that John was shot in the exact same spots that he shot the doc in the beginning of Chapter 3. Then when they're at the tombstones his doggo looks off to the side as if he sees him. Me personally, I like to think he's dead and is at peace with his wife and best friend, Helen.

Hannah made a good point about stakes and John's vulnerability. Ever since the last film when he fell off the roof. They have raised his damage factor to unrealistic levels. If you want realism than Nobody 2021 is more grounded than Wick.

Great video. I suspect Winston was actually John's father. The tattoo on his hand at the grave was an Eastern Orthodox Church cross. Winston called him his son at the grave. Always calls him by his full first name. Looks after him like noone else. Did what he could for his son without breaking the High Table rules.

John is definetly not dead. He lived his whole life as Boogeyman and a killer. He most likely faked his death so he can live his life peacefully with his second name Jardani. Because if you think about it, Caine got the same wounds like John and he survived. Also when they're at the tombstones his doggo looks off to the side as if he sees him. And when the King and Winston talked to each other and the King asked if he's in hell or heaven they both laughed when Winston said: Who knows? , meaning for me they are joking because they know John is somwhere out there living finally in peace far from his duty.

The long shot scene with the incendiary gun was actually based on a video game called Hong Kong Massacre that I believe the Director played. This movie is amazing though and they leave it off where they can end it but also continue because even though we see John fall over we never really see if he did die. He could have fainted then was brought back to good health, probably even asked Winston and the Bowery King to fake his death.

For those wondering if he's dead or alive, here's what the director says: In a new interview with Empire magazine, “John Wick: Chapter 4” director Chad Stahelski revealed for the first time that a more concrete ending to the action tentpole was filmed and tested. In this version of the film, there’s no question that John Wick survives the events of the duel. “We had a different ending,” Stahelski said. “[The theatrical ending] was the ending Keanu and I wanted, but we shot a different ending. We shot an ending where you actually saw John Wick at the end of the movie. So it was very clear that he was still alive. The audiences we tested with absolutely preferred the ambiguous ending.” And number 5 has been confirmed.

Great review guys. You all are my favorite movie reactors. You're very passionate and that makes my follow-along that much more enjoyable. Thank you! But here's the thing: the action and cinematography was untouchable. However, I totally agree with Hanna. The reason I liked the first 3 John Wick movies was the realism and John's natural human characteristic. The writers took that away from him, along with his mystery. He became so predictable. Like you knew he was going to survive just because he's John Wick. That first fight scene made me so angry: How could he get to the elder so easily after having to almost die just to meet him the first time. All in all, still a great movie. Will have to watch it a couple more times before I add it to my personal collection though. Keep up the good work!

FINALLY. You have no idea how bad I needed this video. I had a rough day at work, I was tired, and was feeling miserable. I opened KZbin and what’s the first video that popped up? This one. One of my favorite reactors and his lovely ladies reacting to one of my new favorite movies. I feel so much better now. The choreography in the movie is out of this world. It’s so creative and tense but still realistic. And that single shot of John killing those guys with the rifle with incendiary bullets is nothing short of amazing. And you’re 💯 right about the director making Donnie Yen blind to make the fights between him and John more realistic. I agree with Hannah and Anna that John isn’t really dead. I think he faked his death so he could finally stay retired. And from what I’ve heard, there will be more John Wick movies. If you feel like it you should watch a video where Scott Adkins breaks down the fight scenes in this franchise and little details that you may have missed and what it was like for him to be in this movie. Winston was right about John. He was the most feared by all including the high table. He did what no one had ever accomplished before, which was killing his way out and gaining his freedom twice. He did it in the first movie when Vigo told his son that John killed all the competition and thus gained is freedom to be with his wife and again in this final chapter. In the end he died at peace because he was finally free and could remember his wife one last time. He may have been known as the BABA YAGA and DEATH’S EMISSARY to many who either feared him or were dumb enough to believe they could face him and live, but to a small few he will be remembered as a friend, brother, to Winston he was a son but most importantly A LOVING HUSBAND which was what he wanted more than anything else. RIP John Wick And as to the Bowery King’s question if John is in either heaven or hell I would say he’s in heaven with his wife. Let’s face it he fought and killed his way to freedom in life he would do the same in the afterlife.

That gun called "the Pit Viper" is a $7,000 hand gun and its features and reviews are nothing but top marks. Next.... it wasn't the shotgun shooting those flaming rounds. It was the shot gun round itself. It's called "Dragons Breath" and it really exists and works in most shotguns. I think these might have been tailored a little for filming this movie.

After the first viewing, I did think that the certainty of John’s death was being communicated through The Harbinger as he told John that he was a free man now. However, considering how the entire franchise starts with him thinking he was out, only to get back in, somehow makes me think faking his death was another precaution. Even Caine thought he was out, only to be called back, so it shows that this underground reality will always find a reason to drag you back in.
