God's heart is for us to love Him and freely choose to follow Him and Jesus our Lord - This is a great teaching by John Lynn whom I consider to be a true Apostle of our Time

James R Cathey: Sorry, but there are no more apostles. The last Apostle was John. Why? Because in order for one to be an apostle two criteria had to be met: (1) they were taught directly by Jesus; (2) they were eyewitnesses of the resurrection (Acts 1:21,22). The only office established by Christ Himself and still in existence until He returns is that of pastor (Eph. 4:11ff).

Dan Allan I need to show why? I provided the biblical references in support of the my statements. The "why" is God's domain.

Dan Allan: Upon further reflection, it may be that you ask the question having only read my response to James R Cathey. If so, you need to go further back in the thread where I provided the "why" behind my statement to him. I had already given the reasons for my statement and didn't feel the need to reiterate them. God bless you John. Thank you for continually attempting to shed light on the eyes of those the god of this age has blinded. Continued prayers for you, your ministry, and all who are involved in it. Your the best!

This message is AWESOME! It strikes at the heart of the lie Satan originally told Eve, which was essentially, "You CAN'T trust God, so you need to take matters into your own hands". IF God is the source of the suffering and pain we see all around us, then Satan was right. Who can trust a god that arbitrarily kills innocent people or worse yet, "allows" it to happen when He (supposedly) could prevent it? Think people! Remember, all of the greatest truths we have today were once "heresies" to those who held tradition higher than truth!

Thanks John for helping to make the false accusations our Father's actions and lack of actions clear. Not to say I've ever believed Yahew was the cause of the sickness, pain, sorrow, suffering, hunger, poverty or mankind's worst enemy, death.

Hi John, I trust your teaching, but have struggled for some time regarding God being outside of time. I know, my mind is only small, but when you read Judges, surely he could have come up with some better than these? However, with a universe so large, I can image time would become an issue for a Creator. I believe as Christians we need to become more aware of the things we can't see. And, as you have said, it's all about prayer. Evan - NZ

Most Calvinists that I know are one or two “petal” Calvinists, means they only believe in one or two of the five basic tenants of Calvinism that are represented by the letters TULIP, regardless only believing in one or two points of Calvinism is still wrong. What John Lynn is teaching is absolutely correct and a blessing to really live your life knowing that.

I do believe in freewill but I also believe our choices are known before hand. We still have choice but God knows the choices we will make. God is outside of time and the world is predestined Genesis 1:31. Everything after Genesis 1:31 in making it Genesis 1:31.

When you hold that God has limited knowledge, are you not positing that he a God of limited ability, a limited God?
@datexroosevelt8 жыл бұрын
***** There is no limits in the knowledge of God; we may not comprehend the whole gamut of his thoughts, its processes or impact but he is not a "limited God". The classic passage on that subject is Psalm 139. David assured us that God knows when we sit down and when we stand up (verse 2). He knows our thoughts before we think them, while they are far away from us (verse 2; cf. also Ezekiel 11:5). He knows all our ways (Psalm 139:3), a word referring to the whole course and conduct of our lives. In other words, He knows everything that we do (cf. also Job 23:10; Proverbs 5:21; Jeremiah 16:7). He knows every word we speak while it is still on our tongues, before it ever comes out of our mouths (Psalm 139:4). He knew the choices of Christ regarding His redemptive plan even before the creation of the foundation of the earth (Ephesian 1.)

***** I recognise your fancy for the view that some knowledge of or acquittance with certain culture (eastern) or philosophical postulation is a stamp of authority for the truth. But the fact is that fatalism, determinism, and predeterminism or even the flip side - indertiminism or any construct of concepts or theories are nothing but academic disputations sneaked into Christianity in vain attempt at unravelling the mystery of the kingdom which is reserved for minds of "babes" (Matthew 18:2-4). You could have been very helpful if you gave a scripture that shows that "God limited Himself" - his ability to know, hence "does not know every thing", rather than resorting to text-book philosophies as if such constructions are canon of scripture. Lastly, "very wonderfully done" sermons abound in all religions, they are not Christian exclusive; but if the philosophy in your sermon diminishes the status of God as supreme and sovereign in power and knowledge suits you, then truly, "lets just disagree".

***** I have listened to it and insist that God knows all our choices. Simply look at Christ as an example, as every choice he will make was known and it was recorded even before his incarnation (Hebrew:10 7"THEN I SAID, 'BEHOLD, I HAVE COME (IN THE SCROLL OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME) TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.' God knew that Jesus, fully man, will make choices that will lead to salvation of man. This truth gives meaning to the following scriptures - Romans 8:29 For THOSE God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Ephesians 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love. How can talk of the chosen if he did not know that Jesus will CHOOSE the cross, CHOICE of the father's will.Hence, if he knew the choices of Christ, he also knew our choices. Have a blessed day and keep loving the Lord

***** You need to do some "thinking" ... God is indeed deluged with a constant continuum of "surprises" every second by the "unknown" decisions of men and the milliards of intertwined intersections (multi-complexities) of produced and co-produced reactions that portend infinite unknowns, spirals and wire-frames of yet to be made decisions and actions of about six billion men and counting??? Check out bible commentaries for they hold that you are wrong on this open-theistic postulation. Being fixated with concepts allows the vain assumptions that you have figured God out,. These postulations add no value to experiential walk with God. However, if you are open to research, check out these varied commentaries in the following links. www.studylight.org/commentary/genesis/22-12.html carm.org/genesis-2212-now-i-know-you-fear-god I am done with this; if you find the "knowledge limited God" helpful to leading a victorious Christian life and loving God absolutely, by all means remain fixated.

So let me get this straight, God allows us to Kill and Torture because we disagree with something, those actions are in gods nature? Also Love is not love if we lack the choice not to love, is it really a choice if it isn't a full choice.
@TheLivingTruthFellowship9 жыл бұрын
Totally agree that "Love is not love if we lack the choice not to love". To answer your question, it is NOT in God's nature to kill and torture, nor is it His nature to WANT for us to kill and torture, but it is within His nature to allow us to CHOOSE what He DOES wants us to do. ♥
