A great episode for Miguel. He's returned to the nice kid he was at the beginning of season 1, but with perspective. Him and Johnny really are the best duo.

To be honest Miguel was always that nice kid. He just hit a little roadhump when he was angry about the Sam/Robby situation. He never really turned bad like the rest of Cobra Kai, bullying and being an asshole to everyone.

@@blueskybelyr One was an accident, after seeing his gf holding hands with another boy. She'd lied to him about meeting her parents, lied to him about what she had been doing the night before. She'd hidden the fact they were Skyping when Daniel came to talk to her. So yea he was understandably angry. And he didn't injure Robby, Hawk did that. Miguel just attacked the injury, which is actually a perfectly reasonable act during any combat sport. But yes it was done mostly out of anger over the situation between them.

@@AkumaGekido You can excuse anything with enough babble, it doesn't make it right. Miguel was in the wrong when he got drunk and angry and ended up hitting his girlfriend, and he was wrong when he used unwarranted violence to attack his opponent in a tournament (not deadly combat. A tournament for kids). He grew out of that, because at heart he's a good person. We're seeing Robby go through the same thing now, and into season 4. You can like a character and admit when they made mistakes. It makes their arc more interesting.

Love this episode and the idea of Johnny helping Miguel get back on his feet (literally) and Miguel helping Johnny get back on his feet and helping him realize that he is worthy of being a Sensei. The writing in this show is so good!
