Saturday afternoon drive around downtown Dallas with some great views of the city skyline. Enjoy!
Dallas is a city in the U.S. state of Texas and is largest inland metropolitan area in the U.S. that lacks any navigable link to the sea. With a population of 1.3 million people, the city of Dallas is the main core of the largest metropolitan area in the Southern United States. It is the most populous city in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the country at 7.5 million people.
Dallas and nearby Fort Worth were initially developed due to the construction of major railroad lines through the area allowing access to cotton, cattle and later oil in North and East Texas. The construction of the Interstate Highway System reinforced Dallas's prominence as a transportation hub, with four major interstate highways converging in the city and a fifth interstate loop around it. Dallas then developed as a strong industrial and financial center and a major inland port, due to the convergence of major railroad lines, interstate highways and the construction of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, one of the largest and busiest airports in the world.
A "beta(+)" global city, the economy of Dallas has been considered diverse with dominant sectors including defense, financial services, information technology, telecommunications, and transportation. Dallas is home to 9 Fortune 500 companies within the city limits. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex hosts additional Fortune 500 companies, including American Airlines (Fort Worth), ExxonMobil (Irving), and J. C. Penney (Plano). Over 41 colleges and universities are in its metropolitan area which is the most of any metropolitan area in Texas. WalletHub named Dallas the fifth most-diverse city in the U.S. in 2018.

A few updates: 1) New San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas videos coming soon! As well as more Chicago and Toronto in the next few weeks. More to come soon on international locations. And maybe a popular beach towns of the USA format? Let me know if you like that idea? 2) Working on stabilizing a new camera with greater overall picture quality and improved dynamic range. I did some comparison videos and the difference is impressive! All videos will look much better, especially the night videos! 3) Have tested a few stabilizers with the 360 camera and I think I have the correct one and will simply have to fine tune it. Thats all for now. Have a great weekend everybody!! J

I live in Dallas. Two things: - Looks better during the night - It’s growing faster, a lot of constructions, and a lot of people from New York, Los Angeles and Chicago coming to live here. Cheap, and clean place to live.

Seems like they're always tearing up the roads. It gets annoying after a while if you live there. What's irritating is that housing is barely affordable and continues to climb. I used to have a house around Irving that was only 2 bedrooms with a 2-car garage. (This is a garage so short it would not fit a 4-door GMC Yukon.) It had a tiny back yard and was so cheaply built that it frequently had structural and foundation problems. It was appraised at $150k because of the location. I know from experience that same house would barely be over $110k in Oklahoma.

Watch over the next 15 years. Dallas's skyline is already amazing but, it's should be the first southern city to stop sprawling and head in the Chicago/ NYC category. With all the current projects about to go up and being Dallas is becoming a major tech hub. Every thing points to Dallas building up in the future even more than it has been. Especially being it's land locked.

Much like Houston, Dallas has a number of below ground or above ground-level passageways between major buildings, such that it is not always necessary to actually exit a structure, (especially nice in the very oppressive (100 degrees) summer), in order to get to another downtown building or location. In the same but opposite rationale, Minneapolis has an extensive series of sky bridges and tunnels that allow one to literally travel throughout the inner city core, without having to bundle up for their robust winters

@kerry2921 It depends what part of Florida. I love how Dallas has a mix of big city sophistication and down home friendliness. From about 0:30 to 2:00, the drive is through an area called Deep Ellum, a district of bars and clubs where the blues musicians ("guitar slingers") hang out and perform. At 6:16, we enter Dealey Plaza on the same route that the presidential motorcade followed Nov. 22, 1963. The red brick building on the right is the Texas School-book Depository. The window Oswald used is just out of sight.. The famous Grassy Knoll is on the right, just before the triple underpass.

Houston buildings are big and bland, Austin building are stark and cold, San Antonio buildings are short and old and Fort Worth....well Fort Worth just seems like someone hasn’t un paused it yet. That’s why many consider Dallas full of it’s self cause it projects an image of confidence and boujeness unlike any city in Texas, unlike any in America except maybe Cali cities and NYC

you can't even imagine how nice it is to have someone else doing the driving … whew. spent a couple days in dallas … going between kansas-city and houston. the dallas skyline surely has changed. seems it's going through a massive revitalization program in the downtown region. apparent your video was taken around 12pm noon time … judging by the shadows. as for day of the week … not certain … perhaps saturday? i suspect you're the only occupant in the vehicle … camera seems to be mounted above the roof.

@@PSXuploads USA is a beautiful country that has been blessed with a nice nature and beautiful people (in most parts) but in general life in Europe is way easier. Housing is more affordable, medical needs are more accessible and more affordable. In Europe we pay a few little euros/pounds in the arrival when we go to hospital and we’ll be seen by doctor the same day, here I’m already having an appointment which was set a month and half ago for next month ; means that I had to wait for 2 1/2 months to see the doctor and I will pay a big buck for it too, emergency room in Europe is free, here in the USA an average emergency room bill is about $10.000 up to god knows how much for just a simple sore throat. Some people die at home from heart attack , avoid getting medical help simply because they can’t afford the medical bills. Some people’s lives get totally destroyed by a single medical bill. Most people gotta get 2 jobs to be able to pay for their rent and bills let alone going out having fun. In Europe we pay all our bills even with just one part time job. That’s why homelessness is beyond control in the USA. We go out every weekend and have fun as part of our culture in Europe , I could only go out for Christmases since I was in USA , dance clubs are very low quality in most cities in USA also. Food and clothing is cheaper in USA but housing and health related expenses are crazy. Plus there’s a better sense of freedom in Europe, here in the states we basically got these 2 strong political parties: Democrats and Republicans. Sweet lord ; Democrats are total nonsense nuts. Look how they treat their own president who’s working for free, and has done whole lot of great work for this nation and even beyond this borders, spreading lies about him only because he made it clear that he wants to work for people and he’s aiming to clean up the corruption in the government and corrupt Democratic Party did not like it. Look the rioters; the barbaric behavior of the looters is way far from civilization. Google to see how many business owners were savagely killed by the barbarians (so called peaceful protesters). Look how they treat people with different opinions, Your job will be in jeopardy If you’re conservative and your employees are liberal; We never had this problem in Europe, we’re tolerant of each other’s opinions. so my last word is appreciate your European life style and your European rights and freedom. I’m thinking of moving back to England as I’ve been told by racist liberals countless amounts of times.

Why do all cities in the South look this way? I took a road-trip a few years ago, for one month, driving from Chicago down to Houston, across to Florida and back up through the east coast. All the cities south of Chicago, looked the same, except for New Orleans. Houston, Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Jackson, Baton Rouge, Louisville, Tallahassee, Mobile, Gulfport, Baton Rouge, Houston, Indianapolis, Memphis and Richmond, they all looked and felt very much the same. I was quite surprised that all these different places had very much the same urban design and all of them were very quiet, during the day and especially at night. They did not feel very touristy at all, except for New Orleans, which was full of tourists but only in the French Quarter. New Orleans was the only city that was fun, crowded, lively, unique and festive. It's a real fun, party city, unlike the other places I stayed at. I was there from mid September to mid October. It was warm in those cities but not so hot. The heat didn't stop New Orleans from being packed with people every day and night. I gotta say, I much prefer big, norther cities like Chicago, NYC, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington. They are all more urban, more festive, more crowded and looked more distinctive. I didn't go to Savanna or Charleston but they do look like beautiful places, on Google Streetview, so I want to visit them next time I'm near there but the other Southern states, I don't think I'd go back to. I was very disappointed in places like Atlanta, Nashville and Houston. I thought they would be more interesting, with their own unique style/vibe and more festive/fun. Atlanta was dead as a door nail, even during the day! You guys need to fire your urban planners! I'm an urban guy, I LOVE big, lively, urban cities like Paris, London, New York, Melbourne, Barcelona, Montreal and Bangkok! I could not live in those Southern cities, I need more animation, more style, more action, more FUN!
