I agree. I used to choose answer for which I was thinking it is true only because I saw it in text but it was incorrect. In a lot of ways, the reason for that is because it is not a main idea

I'm so glad it's helpful 😀. If you are stuck, take a closer look at the passage and try to eliminate one of the answer choices. This makes it easier to figure out the correct answer.

Summary questions are intimidating me

No worries, you can do this! Go through each answer choice and then scan the passage to check whether it's in the passage and whether it's a major or minor point as only major points belong into a summary.

What about the last question that asks about the 3 main points of the reading? To answer correctly that question, you must read the whole passage.

You don't have to read the whole passage in detail to answer this question. To check which of the answer choices is correct, scan the passage and read only the relevant parts of the passage carefully.

You don't need to read the whole passage to answer summary questions. These questions require you to look for the main points in the passage which you can find by scanning it.
