Thank Josh. I was reading "the 400 must have words for the TOELF" and it was too much boring! This video is fantastic because you even explain if the word is normally used in science or biology. Amazing!

Hello. I purchased your subscription and did reading and listening. I got in your website for reading 27 and listening 25. But yesterday I went to my official exam, unofficial score for reading was 20 and listening :14 😢 Why? I think they gave me hard reading passage.
@TSTPrep18 күн бұрын
@@xalidselimov1803 First of all, I am sorry to hear about the difference in score, I am sure it is frustrating. Each individual student is different, so it's hard to know the reasons for your particular performance. If you do end up needing to retake the test, you may consider classes with a teacher to help you score.

Hi George, could you share tips on how you aced these two sections. Thanks
@georgebeshay445724 күн бұрын
@@bellooluwatobi4813 Of course , For the writing task one , please make sure to take notes accurately and mention all the points in the lecture , it's really useful to use a template , you don't have to come up with new ideas or topics , you just have to write what is stated in the lecture and the passage using the template, no need for extra complicated vocab , just make sure to write at least 280 words + little or no mistakes ( replace any word you're not sure of its spelling ) , so to sum this up - Mention all the points - Word count - use a good template with different contradictory words in each paragraph -revise and correct or change any complex vocab
@georgebeshay445724 күн бұрын
@@bellooluwatobi4813 task two is much easier I think . Use an introductory sentence with your opinion , add one more sentence of agreement or disagreement with the other two students , Mention a reason/ or example supporting your choice or opinion use connecting words or adjunctive ( however , so that , on the contrary , having said that , otherwise , in addition to ) something like that , revise and correct any errors or mistakes ( al least in 1-2) minutes \

@@bellooluwatobi4813 for the speaking ( in general ) you dont have to freak yourself out in order to mention all the details mentioned in the lecture or whatever , just make sure to keep talking , if you have extra time , make a conclusion , JUST DONT FREAK YOURSELF OUR TO MENTION ALL THE STATED INFORMATION , because this will make you stressed and rushing to say everything in very short time , just give an overview with an introduction to the topic followed by mentioned reasons/examples , followed by a conclusion if the time permits for speaking task 2 , i really think it's very useful to use a temp

Thanks very much for your question. Yes, vocabulary questions are tough in the sense that either you know what the word means or you don’t. It is true sometimes you can figure out the answer by using context clues in the sentence, but this is not always the case. So I would say there is no best way to answer these questions. In general, read as much as you can in your free time and try to improve your general vocabulary.
