I feel like the first designer got ill after designing the ride until launch 2 and the one who replaced him created rides line Tornado at Bakken or I305. And when the first designer was well again, they hadn’t had enough time to redo the second third, so they had to go with some airtime hills and call it a day 🙂 I personally really like Juvelen, it is one of the best Multilaunchcoasters I’ve ever done and my favourite ride at Djurs Sommerland (and number 2 in Denmark for that matter) ~Kevin

For a family coaster, it's pretty good, but i definitely did not like this ride as much as everyone else. Has a few fast transitions and a good launch, but most of the ride just felt boring and forceless.. The trains make the whip really uncomfortable, almost turning it into normal laterals, which i don't like. I think that might be to do with the springs connecting the seats to the chassis. Also the restraint is one of the most uncomfortable i have experienced on any coaster. It is thin and so puts a lot of pressure into my hips. Still the 2nd best coaster in the park for me though, and 5th best in Denmark. Piraten is a world class coaster though, and is still in my top 2, above the likes lf Helix, EGF, Wildfire, Taron, Shambhala, Toutatis, and GCE.

@@Celatra so almost all comparisons are invalid now?? comparing Fonix and Lech makes no sense just because the manufacturer decided to officially designate them as being different models?? Any coaster has enough in common with any other coaster for the two to be comparable

Lech and Fenix are the same basically the same model, Vekoma likes to give different layouts different names. It is not wrong that you can’t directly compare different coaster models, at least not directly. Depending on the seating position, the same forces may feel different on another coaster model. In addition, the restraint is also very important, as it is the main point of contact during any negative-g moments. For example, the airtime on Kondaa‘s first drop doesn’t feel as intense as the one on EGF, but the negative gs are actually higher. We should also keep in mind that ranking coasters is not possible to do objectively. Everyone has different priorities and a different taste in what they like on a rollercoaster. Different rider physique also constitutes for different experiences. I am quite tall, and the RMC restraints close mostly around my chins, making any transition a painful experience for me, causing RMCs to be heavily ranked down, just for their train design. I admit, everyone I talked to enjoyed the seating position on Juvelen, but I still get the point of some turns causing an unpleasant feeling. Especially the one after the second launch is intense, and when not properly bracing for it, it might cause discomfort due to the exposed seating. ~Kevin
