Thank you so much for this. Typically most g force videos show a really general view of the forces on aride, i like how we can see all the forces in detail 🙌

Do you ever plan to come the UK and record the forces of some of our major coasters? I’d love to see videos of Hyperia, Nemesis, Icon, Grand National, Big Dipper, Sik. Those are some that spring to mind when I think of UK coasters with interesting forces.

We encountered some bugs in the the accelerometer that made it very hard to extract the data, and actually threatened to render multiple measurements unusable. Took us a while to figure out how to extract the data in a way that would not yield corrupted data ~Kevin

Was always wondering whether this ride would be too much for my stomach. I could handle Kondaa at Walibi but that was more or less my limit. The forces here look a bit lower but 7 inversions isn't nothing 😅

0:19 How are there laterals so many laterals on the launch, It goes straight
@CoasterStats2 ай бұрын
A) rattle and b) the rear wheels were still in the process of unbanking, all combined with a bit movement from the body.
@huntzzio2 ай бұрын
how were there 0.5G lateral when the coaster just goes straight
@CoasterStats2 ай бұрын
Rattle and our body moving a little bit with the train. The accelerometer doesn’t just measure the track, but the forces exercised on your body, that includes every bit of unwanted movement as well.

Absolutely insane readings. But I already thought something like that because I've ridden Insane several times myself. You can especially feel the negative G values. I'm used to -1.5 G from Expedition GForce, but with Insane it felt much more intense, which your measurements confirm.

Man I was hoping you'd be able to catch a ride where you take the final pullout upside down. When Green Lantern did that with the heavier trains, it was the single most intense coaster that's probably ever been built, definitely not for everyone but Grona Lund is a bucket list park partially for this

Coming back from Dollywood, Lightning Rod should utilize a high speed hydraulic chain lift instead of a traditional one.
@CoasterStats3 ай бұрын
Judging from the latest POV, I don’t see any implications that LRs lift might be hydraulic. The speed strongly suggest a classic electric motor. Haven’t been there, though, so I might be mistaking ~Kevin
