@@tonyhuang38 I'll do this reply in English. That doesn't answer my question at all. I don't know and probably could not find the territory inside Taiwan of the following: Brown spotted pit viper Chinese bamboo pit viper Cobra Many-banded krait Chinese copperhead Siamese Russell’s viper The most info I can find is the maximum altitude of their habitat. And I don't know how prevalent they are. Also some snakes are extremely shy. Where I am, there are 3 or 4 snakes that are poisonous. I've seen a couple over the years. One of them would most likely finish you off before getting to the trailhead, let alone getting to a hospital. I have heard the rattle more times than seen. I also looked up the snakes where I am. "Rarely fatal" for a few. Which means sometimes fatal. So, if the prevalent snake in this area is the Chinese copperhead, most likely "Yeah, watch your step, but even if you get bit, you probably will live" is a bit different than one of the vipers in Taiwan.
