You're doing a great job Axel. Would love to see you make a ranking list.

Thanks! The ranking list should be ready by this weekend.

Love the look of the Dragonfly. It appears Juzear made it to contrast the Butterfly. It’s probably a great choice if you already own the Butterfly and are looking for a less bassy sound signature.

Well, of course it's going to sound detailed and the soundstage large, the treble is super elevated. Although the reviewer said it's not sibilant, I'd bet that if you listen to tracks with sibilance baked in like Queen's Under Pressure or Saint Etienne's Slow Down by the Castle, your ears would start bleeding.

It looks like a nicely tweaked version of Harman. I think it's a smart move when you have multiple releases. I think all of these iems are excellent, just made for different preferences.

That's an interesting looking IEM. I like it? It's different looking than all the rest. It gives me Fall/Winter vibes, but could also be summer as well, but I'm getting Fall/Winter vibes. I'm starting to like it now. Okay, now I like it 😄

Too lean in the mid-bass for me. I have the Performer 5+2 on the way. I love the AFUL Explorer and Performer 5, so I'm confident that I'll enjoy the 5+2.

Same here! Looks like we have similar taste. I love my bass strong and full. I am a big fan of the Performer 5+2.

I received the Performer 5+2 (P7) last Friday. I love the P7's overall sound signature except that the bass was slightly weak for me. Eartip rolling revealed that wide bore eartips actually enhanced the bass and the bass texture. Normally wide bore eartips would decrease the bass so this was a pleasant surprise. I still love my P5 even though the P7 is nicer in every way.

This graphs extremely similar to the Kinera Relentless, but with less mid-bass and a little less recessed mids. The Relentless is also a great set you can often find for $100 or less, but does show tracks prone to sibilance. I would imagine this is very much the same with the Dragonfly 81T.
@Gizaudio2 ай бұрын
The treble on the Relentless is brighter.

So many good IEMs in the same price range...200-250 usd tier is packed with competition, but i'm really tempted to step up and get the Studio 4 Starry Ver...Is it worth the jump?

In my opinion, yes.

Im not sure why so many iems now seem to have such lean mid bass. My few favorite iems are the Shanling me600, byvp dma, Ivipq V11 and a few others. I got to have that slam so I'm m the same as you guys.
@GizaudioАй бұрын
Yeah, I’m seeing that too. Gotta have my bass, man.

Great vid!! Wanna ask how do you compare the 81t to the 61t?
@Gizaudio2 ай бұрын
I compared them in the video. Basically, the 81T is more detailed, with brighter treble, a more forward midrange, and less bass.
@thomasleung57022 ай бұрын
@@Gizaudio thx! perhaps i didnt pay attention for the 61t comparison, figuring 61t or 81t to get
@zulfikarpahlevi82572 ай бұрын
I already have 61T; if it goes to 81T, is that considered an upgrade?
@GizaudioАй бұрын
It’s an upgrade in detail and separation, but the tuning really depends on your taste. Personally, I like the 61T’s tuning better, plus it has more bass.

I have never listened to the MP145 so I can't comment on its sound.

For rock and metal?
@Gizaudio2 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t go with this one for rock or metal. The boosted treble makes cymbal crashes louder than the vocals, and it gets fatiguing after some time. The AFUL Performer 5+2 and Explorer are way better for rock and metal.
