We should never place coil spring in low niti wires.. It will cause tipping and rotations of adjacent teeth. And you used couple forces to correct the rotation and increased the arch length by proclining the anteriors, thereby providing space for the rotated tooth. good work.

Probably the rest of their life. I had 2 rotated teeth and one went right back to where it was before braces within 10 years. Had to veneer it, and even after that it shifted even more. It decayed underneath and resulted in bone loss. So now it's shifted badly, has a veneer stuck to it and no idea what to do with it.

hi! I'm sure there are ways other than TADs and surgery to correct a skeletal open but I'm not good at it. In my case, I'd use and I am comfortable with TADs. If the patient doesn't want TADs, I will happily refer the patient.

Nice, but don't you like self ligating brackets? Cases like this are very easy with them. As long as you can bond a bracket the system will rotate everything in 2 months without preopening space with spring... Just a 0.12 niti

Mariano Garau hello! Thanks for your kind comment. I it may seem possible to bond a bracket looking from the incisal but it was impossible to bond the bracket at its sweet spot. I like SLBs but the patient was only willing to pay for a conventional bracket. Also, using a force couple is much more efficient.

In an ideal world, I'd use SLB's for all of my patients but not all of my patients can afford it. :(

No, braces are for a few years. After the braces you'll have to wear a retainer so your teeth don't go back to being crooked.
