In the description, it says this is Part 2 of a three-part video.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but the plastic covers they provide with the JVC camera degrade the video quality if left on and also affect the white balance.

Yes, once you get over about 10 mph, the mic is overwhelmed, even when the camera is behind a fairing. All of these motorcycle video cameras seem to have pretty bad sound recording. You can mess with it a bit and try to add some foam blocking around the mic. Otherwise, this is a nice camera. We're currently working on a GoPro Hero3 Black Edition review...

As noted, there are 3 total videos and a detailed review on webBikeWorld. The link to the review is in the main comment section underneath the video above.

This does too and other cameras do also, but they're virtually useless as you have to leave the door and seals open for the mic wire.

I just had a look at your linked webpage. I was already worried that my mic/sound recording is borked, but maybe the sound is really just that bad.

Well you used to, the Drift HD has a secondary backdoor system now.

Mine is very difficult to remove, maybe they changed the design since we got ours, which was one of the very first off the production line...

Yes the Drift HD does and the Hero2 when used with the skeleton case.

I think the title is wrong. If you click on the link it will bring you to another video which is the actual comparison.

Still can't get any of these cameras to synch/connect to my tablet or laptop with WiFi, I pretty much gave up.

Nice to see some mainstream companies jumping into this action camera thing. Decent first attempt. No microphone port? Makes it not a good option for the motorcycle vlogger types like myself.

We did a couple of reviews of motorcycle video camera mounts, go to webBikeWorld and use the search box to find them. Bottom line, there aren't any good mounts for motorcycle video cameras, for a variety of reasons. But the mounts they provide with the cameras are for the most part, pretty bad.

lens cover is not that hard to remove if you know how... (unless you didn't read the directions). Press the potrusions on the sides, push up the lens a little bit, then pull. that's how easy it is.

Check our review of the GoPro Hero3, the video quality is fantastic, it's expensive, and the size and shape are clumsy, but it takes unreal video. BTW, there are raw samples in the webBikeWorld reviews for download also. The quality after the KZbin compression on any of these is pretty bad compared to the raw out of the camera video.

I bought this over the last GoPro, as there is a Japanese dude here on YT doing split screen comparisons, and I just thought the JVC is all around better. However, the handle bar mount is a complete waste of space. The plastic mechanism is too week, so even rolling off a pavement or hitting the slightest pothole with my bicycle makes the camera rock up and filming the sky instead. Very shoddy, can you recommend a good one, probably with metal joint?

Do any of these "action" cameras have a mic port?
@MiDDiM11 жыл бұрын
I wish we can transfer video directly through wifi to the storage or cloud instead of using laptop because it does have unique capability to share videos the go pro. Who sends its own wifi but can't work withoutsoftware but this one will as long as its wifi enabled
