I have this camcorder already 2 months! Still love it considering the price. Image is very sharp in good light. Th low light is still pretty good with low noise. Shot a concert yesterday with alomost now light s a results are pretty good. But when fully zoomed in normal lighting there is purple fringing! Mostly visible on white backgrounds outside you see it. My wife didn't see it.

I recommend, that camcorder for who are starting a video maker life and doesn't have money enough to buy expensive camera, if you are looking for quality in 1080, that is a good and cheaper option.

I shoot with the GY-HM70U this is a great camera! One thing is that when I pan with the camera two things happen. First when I stop the pan the video in the display seems to move for a split second longer. Second is during panning while recording the recorded video has a snap in it. How do I stop this from happening? Please help Thanks.

Everytime I hear that a camera is light, I always see that as a big negative in a professional shooting environment. A camera should be heavy since the weight as direct impact in how stable the shot will look. Also is it just me or is JVC always making the ugliest gear on the market.

I have the GY-HM70U when I pan the camera the recorded video shows a snap in the footage. Why is this happening and how do I get rid of it? I have tried changing settings the camera did not do this when I first got it and now it does it all the time. Can someone please help???

There are two possible things that could cause this. First, can you identify what specific memory card you are using with the camera? If the card is not suitable for the camera, it could be dropping frames so as to keep up with the writing buffer in the camera. Second are you viewing the video on the camera itself or on a monitor connected to the camera, or are you converting the files somehow and playing them back on a computer? If you could let us know we can better help to troubleshoot this issue for you. Thanks in advance. Yossi

Hi, Yes I have the Scandisk Ultra 64gb at 30mb/s. When I view it in the viewing monitor on the camera it looks good. When I render it out it shows the snap as it pans. I do a lot of action shooting so panning is critical. I use the cam on a steady cam suit and a boom arm jib crane. Yes, most SD cards could be used. As far as playback, that would depend on the format you are recording the software available on the computer.
