JVC HC500 & HC900 Review

My experiences with the JVC HC 500 and HC 900 connected camera. I have included a variety of different examples shoot on these cameras coupled with some tricks for getting the best possible image.

I just started streaming high school sports in January. I didn’t have any cameras and was able to get a local production company to give me their 3 Canon XA-H1S cameras. They were very well kept and I’m quite impressed with what these cameras can still do 15 years later. They are great for students to learn on.

My first job was shot on a JVC HD110. It became an obsession when the first season of 24 started shooting on it and DOF adapters started hitting the market. I definitely dropped it when the 5dMarkii came out and killed hdv cameras. Still root for JVC.

I didn't realize my opening would bring on this much nostalgia but I love it!
