Surprisingly this stereo isn’t that impressive, seems like it was amazing when they first came out the bass beats are very sharp and will distort passed 20volume. Almost as if the subs aren’t even there. For this stereo having 520 Watts I expected more, I own this one and a jvc Gt88 which is less power and has way better bass.

I have this and the hx c6. The reason to own these things is for the aesthetic, not sound quality. It's like a piece of art. Very unique and nothing else like it. It's a disgrace that the sound quality is below par for these giga tube units. Clarity below average. You really don't feel vocals, mids highs, therefore nothing special. Some songs will sound exceptional though, trap that are base heavy and lack mids, highs, vocals..

i have the mxgt88 with the speakers from the hxz30, however someone not too far from me is selling this exactly model for bout $70, if i were to get it you think this head unit will push my speakers that i have now from the zx30 harder than the gt88 current set up? 460w vs bout 520 ish?
