This was actually a decent adaptation of the cartoons. I liked that they made the chipmunk characters actually look like chipmunks. The sequels are pretty good too.

I disagree.. the original cartoon have a lot of adventures and the characters are more well developed. This is just a typical child rockstar movie trope. I’m not complaining though it is fun to watch

Some households have the washer/dryer right near or connected to the kitchen since it's all the same type of water pipes and electrical stuff you would be using in a kitchen anyway; it makes it easier to do all the routing in a small house.

Really hoping you react to the other 3 movies (The Squeakquel, Chipwrecked, and Road Chip). Honestly most of the cartoon movies are pretty good, like the Werewolf and Frankenstein. You could even possibly make a series of all the Alvin and the Chipmunk movies.

I watched this movie and listened to this soundtrack so much as a kid that one of my core memories is my best friend at the time asking me if I ever got tired of listening to the chipmunks. At the time I just honestly said no, and I was lucky that she didn't make a big deal out of it. Looking back now, I realize that she was trying to communicate that **she** was tired of having to listen to me listen to the chipmunks on repeat.... but damn, this one movie and soundtrack really was a giant part of my childhood. I'm sure I could probably still sing along to the entire soundtrack album flawlessly in my bad chipmunk voice. lol

Yes, coffee is just a socially acceptable drug. There are many people who are genuinely addicted to caffeine and have withdrawal symptoms if they have to stop, but it's legal even to teens and viewed as totally normal by society. Even high-caffeine sodas and teas can become an addiction.

I remember watching the Chipmunks Meets Frankenstein movie a lot when I was a kid so highly recommend that one and the Wolfman one (which I didn’t watch a lot when I was a kid, but it’s equally as good). The cartoon I watched a whole lot as well, then I discovered recently there was an even older cartoon than that. I found it on the Internet Archive. It’s interesting to see how much the Chipmunks animation and designs changed over the years. It’s not too drastic of a change, but there’s definitely a difference between each iteration of the Chipmunks.

Little fun fact the original Alvin And The Chipmunks animated series wasn't aways called Alvin And The Chipmunks it used to be called The Alvin Show but the name eventually got changed to Alvin And The Chipmunks

oh yeah and i remember that there's one episode of the original Alvin And The Chipmunks cartoon that's really sad it's about where Alvin, Simon, and Theodore start taking care of a kitten and them and Dave build a really good bond with the kitten but eventually it gets out of the house on it's somehow can't remember exactly how and while it's outside it gets in the road and it unfortunately gets hit by a car and dies and when Dave and the Chipmunks find out it's incredibly sad and yes this is a real episode you can google it for proof
