As I read the replies, I noticed several of you have stopped going. That is very brave of each of you and commendable. The organization attempts to cut you off from "outsiders" hence your only "friends" are other JW's and JW family. This is why leaving is so hard emotionally, and the GB knows it to keep you in subjection. The answer to "To whom shall we go?" is not the answer the WT gives, "nowhere. Only the WT is God's organization". That is more manipulation by a man made Corporation. "To whom shall we go?" is answered in the rest of that sentence at John 6:68. But also John 14:1-6.

Amen Brother, You speak in honesty and truth. I was a congregation secretary for over 20 years. Publishers are just a name on a card. Brothers are recommended as Elders because they follow the organization without question. Spirituality is only looked at in light of how close does this man follow watchtower policy? No real spirituality necessary. I am the perfect example of this process!
@southernbawselady70925 жыл бұрын
Elders are really "company men" who act as human resource agents for the Watchtower organization. Remember, human resource agents act only in the best interests of the company. Elders search out any who are not loyal to the company, and those who are not actively supporting the policies and mission; as well as, individuals who are not reaching established goals within the corporation. All of these individuals threaten the profitability and outward reputation of of the company, and may affect others in the organization. When individuals inside of the organization/corporation have learned of hypocritical actions, deceitful policies, or lies regarding the actions of representatives of corporation, departments or heads of the corporation (Governing Body) and begin exposing these... Elders (human resource agents of the Watchtower ) are assigned to eliminate or lessen the effects of "whistle blowers" by labeling them "apostates". Once they identify an individual as a "whistle blower" they follow well established company rules and actively pursue any threat that may expose secretive practices, hypocrisy, or harmful or illegal actions that may impact company's profitability. Elders follow corporation guidelines set forth in the exclusive manual for elders, entitled: "Shepherd the Flock of God" published by the WTBTS. 1. To become informed as to the level of knowledge and information a potential whistle blower possesses. 2. Have a formal meeting (Judicial Committee hearing) with them to ascertain the level of dissent or waning support for the organization and threat they pose to the corporation. 3. Formally put the whistle blower on notice their actions constitute disloyalty to the corporation and they will be "fired" from the company losing all benefits and any ties to other members of the corporation. 4. During a congregation meeting ( regularly scheduled corporation workshop) announce the "firing" of those who have failed to follow corporate rules.

My parents have always been on and off going to meetings all my life but have always said they believe it's the true religion and were two of the biggest hypocrites I have ever known. They are horrible people. I had an unusual upbringing with a very toxic family who claim to be "God Loving" people. I have always had doubts and never got baptised. I married a non JW in 2014. I'm so glad I did. My eyes have been opened even more over the years and I finally did my research a few months ago and I am free of ever feeling guilty about this cult! I can't believe I would feel so guilty for living my life and loving a man outside of this cult. I am not a Catholic and I can guess what serious issues of the Catholic church you are alluding to. The big difference to the JW organization is that catholics can and do openly discuss and criticize what is going on in their church. Furthermore, in spite of all these issues, there is a rich spiritual tradition, something that is absolutely lacking in the JW organization. They speak about being spiritual all the time, but what they mean by that, has very little to do with real spirituality. One of my favourite old books is an anthology of letters written by a Benedictine nun in the 1960s. There is a depth of love for God and for fellow human beings that is inspring and uplifting. - If you accept your sadness, it won't last forever and perhaps you will see a ray of hope on the horizon of what seems to be spiritual emptiness. Best wishes :-)

Answer: Yes. The Watchtower has too many empty seats in those halls and need to use their seat resources more efficiently. This is what Watchtower told their people. If you believe this, you need your brain examined. Jesus main concern is with the "domestics". That was his focal point. Watchtower is more concerned about building work (physical things). Physical things are more important than people. The Watchtower legal department is writing the elders book as their primary teaching tool. When did the Bible get delegated to number 2? They are losing Jehovah's spirit. I believe individuals are finding that when Watchtower went to the streaming network, people were surprised at how the GB acted. Bethelites see this every day.

When you have Elders and Ministerial Servants working on construction projects, who is taking care of the domestics? They are sheep without a shepherd. Then, Satan is taking care of the sheep.

When your Shepherd the flock of God book reads like lawyers have written it, is this what Jesus used as his authority? Did Jesus Christ consult with his lawyers for wisdom? What did Jesus Christ use? Satan the Devil was the first lawyer when he represented Eve in the Garden of Eden. Twisting Jehovah's laws to justify Satan's will. Do not be fooled by lawyers (nobles). The Bible outright states that true Christians to not be putting their trust in nobles. Just because lawyers know Satan's laws does not justify they should be considered to be from Jehovah. Look at how much money they lost in these settlements lately. This should be a warning to all.

The hardest to reach is family. My Father, an Elder of over 40 years. My Mother, the faithful wife of an Elder. And others. My words can not express the loss I will have when they are gone. Maybe there is hope in true blind ignorance. Maybe "I thought I had the truth" will help them in the end.

AR little red fox. I agree about FAMILY. How Watchtower is Interfering Into The Lives of Both JWs and Ex JWs connected to them.👎👎😠 My Husband and I have been married for 40 yrs now. He's remained a JW for All that time.(I left 30 yrs ago). It saddens me every day that he remains so heavily blinded by Cult Indoctrination and does not see or care about what effect it has on Our Family or Others. Oddly Enough... He is attending a Funeral for a Deceased JW Congregation Member at this very moment. He has attended so many JW funerals in the past year alone. So, Quite a few Older JWs are dying still stuck in WT choke hold and shrinking the Congregation Totals here.(Possible reason for the selling of one of my city's K.H. and merging of Congregations?🤔🤔) Which got Me to thinking; about how Sad that is on so many levels. These Deceased JW Members died Expecting Armageddon At Any Minute(Probably over many decades of hope)...Some dying from Cancer and other diseases yet expecting Sickness and Death to not take their lives(Possibly rejecting Medical Treatments that could have extended and improved their lives🤔🤔)...Many Members possibly Estranged from Non or Ex JW Family Members before death needlessly ,because of Watchtower's Cult Indoctrination and Cognative Dissonence...So much wasted time putting effort and attention towards the agendas of Watchtower Organization Only(Who honestly could not/did not care about Them in reality) and Not of These People's Best Interests.😣💔☹😢 And sad that The remaining JW Robotic Members, like my Husband, drop All plans at a moments notice, and head off to be counted like sheep and seat warmers at the K.H., to hear, not an appreciation of that Deceased One's Life Value, but Cult Based Malarkey about Paradise Earth Wide and How They the remaining ones, need to remain heavily connected to WT and Increase Their Time and Efforts against "Satan's World Of Things" aka Anyone and Anything not WT connected or Approved. It's just a huge sad waste of effort and life, no matter what aspect you consider where Watchtower is in Control.👎👎☹☹💔😢

I have been able to come to a deeper understanding now that I'm out. But some of the 50ish years of JW training (Born in) hinders one from progressing quickly. There is no communication from them. Have you heard JW’s defend a decrease this way: “As we get closer to the end, Jehovah is weeding out the congregations/ separating sheep from goats. Preaching will begin to slow down because we have fulfilled “spreading the good news to the ends of the earth”. Have you heard this argument? They liken it to Noah when God sealed the ark.

How long can WT spin this reduction in Kingdom Halls? Well as long as it’s members “believe” in what is being said. I’m sure they already have the greater number has cooled off card laying around somewhere. Publishers have a responsibility to ask question and review yearly totals WT provides. I’m thankful my born in hall as dissolved it made me realize these “men” are not special. I’m very hopeful more will wake up and snap out of the spiritual fog they currently live in.

A few years ago, I don't think the organization was worried. Things they thought would pick up. With every passing year attendance continued to slump. The governing body has their finger on the pulse of the organization. They feel the effects of everything that happens within the cult. Their attorneys and advisors keep them informed of all potential trouble areas that will be appearing or are already appearing. Sometimes things not said is more revealing as things said. I hear concern in Splane's voice. I believe he is worried. I think they are all worried.
@vintage63463 жыл бұрын
They should be very, very worried. Eric's videos are "primo" for dismantling false teachings. But other exjw channels are also getting quite good at dissecting Watchtower "spin". Watchtower must have counted heavily on preventing JW's from getting higher education than a GED.
@seanheywood38755 жыл бұрын
Hi, In the congregation that I did attend there was no net growth. We were told that even though there were very few new converts coming in this area that the preaching work was not in vain and that there was exponential growth in other lands such as in Africa. There are also many witnesses who have worked tirelessly for the organization who are approaching or have reached retirement age who have or will have no means of financial support, no pension, no 401k, little if any social security. I truly believe Jesus' words at Matthew 6:24-33 but unfortunately for many seeking first the kingdom was interpreted as working for the Jehovah's Witness organization for nothing. Many, many witnesses forfeited their own retirement in order to fund the retirement of the governing body and the witness hierarchy.

I am saddened to my core and perplexed of the hold the society has on members. They leave the organization and the Lord Jesus Christ. They must feel that if this isn't the truth, there is no truth. Please remember it wasn't Jesus that led you astray it was a man led and ruled corporation. Many of us were lead into to this religion by well meaning but completely deceived parents. They wanted their Family to live in paradise under perfect conditions. They were promised paradise in 1975. We are now living 45 years later, we have become disgruntled and grown old. We were and are always waiting for future rewards. They are always right within our grasp but we never receive them. How disheartening. The Lord Jesus Christ is ready to reward his followers right now. Compare Matt 11:28-30 did you ever feel this way as a member of the Jws? As a son of God and a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ you will experience Matthew 11:28-30! Please step up today and receive your adoption as God's Children Romans Chapter 8. You will never regret it! As a follower of Jesus Christ you know a "Christian" you will never worry about when the end will come again, where you will live, and did you do enough to merit eternal life. Let the Truth set you free John 8:32, John 14:6.

I got dissfellowshiped back in '08. What bothered me was i went to the elders after promise after promise that we would eventually talk. It got to the point that when they asked to meet with me after a Thursday night meeting, i got fed up and told them we can meet in the second hall tonight and talk or we can forget about it, because im not rescheduling another no show weekend. The Elder got offended, really do not know why because he knew i was a straight to the point person. Finally we schedule for the following Sunday, which we had and there i confessed all i did. They tried to make it sound like i did not want to repent, that is when i let them have it, with the first "i came to you not the other way around, and if your going to bring up lost sheep, in under a year our attendance has drop from 165 to barely 50. You say you care but you get up on stage, you preach a speech and you go home, because you cannot explain a loss of over a 100 in a year". As you can guess They did not like that. I gave my all to the organization as aux. Pioneer, pioneer, over 25 quick and regular builds through out NY. Pennsylvania, and Florida. Served in Brooklyn as a Bethelite, also would do all the maintenance at the hall plus go to the furman bldg. And get the literature for the congregation. After the meeting, i told my elders im tired of your lies and excuses, and if this is what makes your decision of me being removed, then so be it. I stayed thru the announcement, got up and walked out. It was a surprise to a lot of my brothers and sisters to whom i loved and grew up with, i explained alot to them later. I love Jehovah very much but there is a giant flaw with the so called organization, i do not put my brothers and sisters in a awkward when i see them on the street. If they want to talk i will talk with them and if not i respect their wishes also.

And then perhaps the odd one who actually enjoys murdering others for sheer pleasure. But as a whole people are not as awful as the Watchtower taught us?

This is something I have thought about. The number of witnesses that become atheist. Problem is you are warn out with it being your whole life. Like you have a credit with God enough to never have to visit a church again. Filled up to here with doctrine too much to ever look at it again. Need to find the real Jesus and he will straighten you and renew your faith and spirit.
@theohuioiesin65195 жыл бұрын
Don Snider yea, I think it makes pretty good sense that one is utterly fed up after having been captive and bullied perhaps an entire life. I see myself as a Christian but I will admit that the degradation and the humiliation that comes with leaving and then sorting out what I still believe did drain me. And to be honest I feel a lot of disgust for the Governing Body. And a fair bit of Grief that I was fooled and allowed myself do be fooled by these narcissistic fools that think they represent JC as his Vicars. The organisation have a perspective of weeks and months. Jesus seems to think of eternity and that perspective, at least that is how I read the bible. The prodigal son went away and did what he did but God never left him. We need to live and figure things out and that cannot be done solely by means of reading. And definitely not by reading the literature from the WhORGanisation 🤭☠️🤪 So coming to terms with the fact that we have been screwed over in the name of God should reasonably cause some emotional response. That is not strange.

The argument that Rutherford and his group were appointed as the faithful and discreet slave is dependent on Christ coming. Since Christ did not come in 1914 when Rutherford said he did, then they were not appointed as the faithful and discreet slave as anyone who has been watching KZbin ex witness videos know.
@fitcwebb5 жыл бұрын
Somehow they expect everyone to believe that Rutherford didn't realize that Christ's "presence" happened until about 15 years after 1914. They were still publishing about an 1874 presence until at least 1929. Although most JW's today have no clue about this fact

Ray Franz writer in Crisis of Conscience consulted OUTSIDE of WT with real biblscholars, then he TRIED to get the 8 (Knopp(sp?) was president) to see that their timing was off,,even in the 80s experts saw 587 as a correct date of Jerusalem's fall. but it was SCOFFED at, as the JWs were already believing 1914, and "1934 would confuse them", now as I study biblical archeology the fact is 587..20 years LATER would make 1934 correct..but it's all faked by flawed men. My elders only cared about either calling me up when it suited them only to collect my service time report or to incriminate, convince, or depict me as some congregation felon or ravenous imposter dare I ever slipped up. I walked around my whole life trying to measure up to a plethora of hard fast rules and blanket policies they paint everyone with the same brush with often that they made up and preconceived for themselves. If I had happened to not shave one day or more and was caught showing a 12 o'clock shadow of my face, right away I was questioned. Beards were bad. Facial hair Jehovah gave you is some detestable thing to show. If a girl happen to be born with bigger bosoms, she was somehow trying to draw attention to herself and to her boobs if her clothing appeared "revealing" of her God given accentuated structure she had no control over.. Like telling someone to lose weight if they couldn't help it and were born with a bigger build or were bigger boned. What does genetic form have to do with religion? Or if you were a person who revealed any pain or sadness in your life, they imagined you were mentally diseased, overthinking or overreacting to things, not reading the Bible enough or not praying enough, or not listening enough to counsel, or slipping spiritually, and were somehow depicted in some catch all as "spiritually weak." Then if you couldn't participle well in religious activities, you were kicked to the dirt and no longer recognized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. As a man, if I dare didn't show up wearing the right kind of suit with a white shirt, one that was approved by those leaders looking on,, one that blended in with the style everyone else wore especially when on stage if standing behind a podium giving a talk or reading the watchtower, I was questioned for being underdressed and not being modest heaven for bid I wore any bolder colour or a tie that was bolder than someone else's. They were more focused on image and appearance than who you were as a person they never even took time to know. At one time I was counselled even over having a well groomed and well arranged style of dress, wearing nice.coordinates on stage such as a nice expensive wool sports jacket with a nice dress pant coordinate to go with it, and a nice tie, but even that was wrong, as it was pointed out at the end of the meeting that I was not wearing a white shirt or a one colour suit, Back in the 70's even in the 80!s, if you were a guy caught wearing a pink shirt or a necklace they imagined you were taking after the style of homosexual designers who were bringing pink in at the time since pink was very "in" or even other colours later on. So they were almost flat out calling you a homosexual just because you wore pink on some given day just out of preference. Where is the human rights board to file a complaint over discrimination of one's personal style of dress? You can't discriminate someone' for their religion but you can discriminate ones style of dress? That's the same as racial profiling if someone was a different ethnicity or skin colour.. They are discriminating based on stereotypes. Years later, nobody seemed to care or take offence anymore because everyone wore those colours and just became the social or cultural norm. But if you stood out in anyway or didn't blend in, you were some kind of rebel or hoodlum going against the watchtower's standards or its dress code. Everyone had to just look like clones of each other for some reason. Where does individual taste come in just as with food or music or cars or houses? I called a girl up to chat on the phone say to just hang out, and if found out, people were already marrying us off before I got to even know someone on a casual basis or if we happened to embrace one another or kiss, if any romantic exchange got out to someone else or another got word of especially got back to an elder, we were immediately surveyed with 20 kazillion questions and put on their radar to see if it fit "sexual misconduct" or if a judicial hearing should be set to see if I or the other, if happened to be a Jehovah's Witness female accomplice should be removed if not one or both, and then the fear setting in to become ostracized and strung up for that too, just trying to make a connection with the opposite sex was an issue. How can you get close to someone you can never get close to, to not just see, but to touch and smell, to find out how you feel, or if your even attracted to them physically and emotionally, especially If you don't know your chemistry well with one another or even what your attraction really is, then never get to discover what it is like if you never make contact? How can you know if your attracted if you restrain your affections 100% of the time? Your promiscuous if your trying to simply find someone to love and discover or explore your attraction to another? One elder knew I called up a girl, and tried to convince me that "calling up a girl on the phone was "courting" and that I "must have marriage in mind" if talking to anyone of the opposite sex. Apparently they don't care if you marry the wrong person even if you're not even emotionally or even sexually compatible with that person you are forced to have very limited contact with. They set u up for divorce. Everything apparently has to be structured down to every detail in your life and tightly monitored with a fine tooth comb. No wonder I am paranoid with highly compulsive OCD worried about everything and anything that happens wrong or right. They made me afraid of myself, afraid to be in my own skin. It has ruined my life. They made their way my way of handling anything. A circuit overseer some few years earlier despised people for playing hockey recreationally especially on a Saturday night before the Sunday meeting and even claiming its "idolatry" to like certain sports teams that one might favour or frown on brothers for spending too much time playing "competitive sports". If that was the correct Christian advice, then how come years later, a completely different C.O.is found actively playing hockey with the same brothers who were frowned on by the previous C.O. years before? Apparently different strokes for different folks turned into religion. Flavour of the day? How do personal preferences, cultural or social norms, stereotypes, and stigmas, get made into commands of God? (Matthew 15:6-9) It seems like all those designated to be in charge, who wear their hard-nosed faces along with their hard-nosed badges, and I mean who really WEAR their BADGES, only really care about going through the motions of procedures versus human need, manipulating people with numbers, or manipulation by tightly monitored religious activities, punishing its members with constant guilt trips as a control mechanism, or collecting religious activity time from them to exacerbate the guilt complexes, and this while keeping a tight lid or grip on each and every one, more so in those who are marginalized who might be more vulnerable, then making them feel foolish, stupid, and some silly idiot every waking minute of one 's entire life heaven for bid that person isn't fail-proof or infallible. Why is it that they keep preaching love, mercy, and forgiveness, even preaching forgiveness through repetitive reciting scriptures like James 3:2 or Romans 3:23 they often parrot and quote, yet don't live it or apply it to everyone alike across the board?????

Great video! Will the last person out of the Watchtower, please turn out the "New Light". Can you imagine what it is like for those witnesses, that are still holding on, to see their congregations dwindling into thin air? How do you promote a dying religion to the public who has the power of the internet at their fingertips!

Very good point on the fact, that many who leave the organization leave God too. The organization isn't God. Holding him to such a small scale is blasphemy. Keep up the good work. This is very encouraging for people to keep the faith outside of the organization.

Yes, Ana. About 2 1/2 years ago, when I'd finished reading Ray Franz' two books, I went on the internet searching for kindred spirits. I was sorry I hadn't woke up in time to meet Ray Franz and his wife. And what I found on the internet was shocking and sad. I understand their hurt and anger. But foul language and sacrilege doesn't fix our loss and broken-heartedness. Eric's videos were healing and gave hope.

I would expect that it is just viewed as part of the Great Falling Away that must take place because it isn't people falling away from God, it is people leaving the organization. Always seemed odd to me how they talk about the evils of 'organized religion' and then call themselves the organization, can we get less spiritual than that?

I grew up Jehovah witness my entire life it's all I ever knew I always felt like something wasn't right every Sunday before the kingdom Hall my mom would beat the crap out of me and my sisters basically for no reason it's like something just came over her and she would turn evil then walk in the kingdom Hall smiling and acting like everything was so great just like all the rest of the witness's acted so fake when my stepdad was accused of molesting my sister they did nothing about it claiming there was no two witnesses that's when I stopped believing in that religion 💯

Thank you brother, you've nailed it! I got some notes while watching this video. "For an organization claiming divine endorsement based on growth figures, negative growth is something to be dreaded. Withdrawing of God spirit." ... "Their penchant (passion) for reporting time." The very much importance of Field Service Report. "Loyalty to the Organization" exemplified in the Field Service Report. "Emphasis on organizational works rather than gifts of the spirit and faith..." and many so. Keep up the good work and stay with God.

Eric, I agree so much, that we can't give up on our Creator. He is our life. It is "Man" who caused us harm, as we were caught in their snares. Stay faithful people. God bless us all, and that doe's not mean to run to another religion. Jesus 'alone' is our savior.

After leaving JWs 10 years ago I've become atheist. But I still Iove love your warm words when you talk about your faith.
@vintage63464 жыл бұрын
alienlovesecrets, It makes me happy to hear you say that. I've read that many have been so hurt and damaged by Watchtower's twisted abuse of its "flock" that when someone escapes from Watchtower they become atheist. I'd watched videos made by atheist exjws before finding Eric's videos. I appreciated how they (without naming which video makers) exposed Watchtower's hypocrisy. But I needed more than that to feel "healed". I needed to see exactly "where" Watchtower had gone wrong. I got that from Eric's videos, and also found other people who still believe that the Bible is inspired,... and that God is still in charge and has a great plan for our future. Eric's videos make sense to me. He puts a lot of research and heart into them. I'm glad to meet you here.

Jw.org say the field service report is made voluntarily.Go to FAQ/Organization/How many of JW are there worldwide?/How do you know how many are actively witnessing?(first paragraph:"this report is made voluntarily").That is a lie.The JW field service report is mandatory not voluntarily.

Excellent video. Very good points raised. The borg's growth in North America, Japan and Europe are declining to a negative mark. This is happening at a very fast rate when the society are calling for more donations every week while they brag about constructing a mega studio for their boring dramas and videos.

My brother blessings to you and upon your efforts. I was a jw for 20 years during which time I grew through the ranks of the organization. Special pioneer and an Elder. Presiding overseer, school overseer, service overseer. Gave talk at district convention and baptismal talk at circuit assembly. I woke up and leave some 20 years ago. I am still devastated to see what look like the demise of what I thought was such a lovely organization. Keep up the good work

So WT has finally made crystal clear how they feel about Jesus in the April 2020 watchtower, study article "l have called you friends". See the box associated with paragraph 5 "A balanced view of Jesus role". The last sentence is especially appalling. Note also later in the article how they make it perfectly clear that the only way to friendship with Jesus, and subsequently Jehovah is only through the GB. Seems to me they have blasphemed against the Holy Spirit. 2 Pet. 3:18, Acts 4:12, John 5:22,23, Matt:28:18 Reply

Miss Sugarbaker we approached the cobe about this statement on limiting the importance we place on the love we show Jesus, and expressed how upsetting it was to read this and his response was typical. Well I will have to read the entire article and get back to you. That was 3 or 4 weeks ago and we have seen him at every meeting. 🤔
