The internet was the beginning of the end. Too much information coming in at an uncontrollable pace. In the past, they had a tight grip and an almost absolute control on acceptable reading material. Fast forward to the the time period of the mid 90"s until today. In the privacy of their own homes, JWs can read and verify if their faith can stand up to criticism. This way I can be sure that I am from God and Christ. Shunning was kind of passe until it hits home. JW's are whacked. 50 yrs my oldest bro shunned me because I didn't want to join their numbers. He calls me out of the blue for me to co-sign a note. I hung up on him. He and his wife kicked out their daughter after she gave up 30yrs of her life to the JW's. She got woken up while spreading the word for 9 yrs in China where all the JW's are hypocrites. the people I met in the local congregation were very nice to me, nothing bad to say about the people but that whacko religion is messed up.

I think that David Splane really cares not about what God and Christ want, but about his position that he has achieved in the organization. After all, it is necessary to react somehow to the negative coverage of the organization's activities in the media. What he really lacks is fear of God and true love for the truth and neighbour. The GB member DS forgets about 1 Corinthians 11:18-19 - Any way you try to forge those verses this is obviously talking about the same church/assembly. I had to make my sister face the reality of the JW brothers and sisters who are not even allowed to talk about their doubts to one another or at least voice their opinion about the GB teaching without taking the risk of being denounced to elders and systematically labeled as 'apostate' without any public debate on the matter at hand and if standing on their ground about what they think/believe, be disfellowshiped and shunned... How convenient for the GB who admits themselves that they can be wrong (only) because they proved it over and over again on wrong teaching to wrong prophetic interpretations... So my question to my sister was: in 50 years how many books have you studied, principles, and rules have you followed that are now considered by the same GB as wrong understanding or old truth?... Where is the Holy Spirit acting through the GB to be well inspired? Also, there is no such thing as old truth/lights... How do you know that they know better today, without any debate, and search for yourself, knowing that they ask for all your spare time to be devoted to what they ask you to do right or wrong and somehow scares you to death (at ARMEGEDOn) for listening to anything that contradicts them, or anyone can prove their case and show the GB organization hypocrisy? Paul can only be right in 1 Cor 11:18-19. Would a liar/manipulator tell you what he/she is doing to you? Or would he/she ask you to not listen to what other people say about him/her? My sister didn't answer at first but finally admitted that she can't defy my arguments... Now she's a PIMO (scared to talk about it to my other sisters, one being an elder's wife). Also whoever the GB claims to be... Jesus said to His apostles that there is no Master but him and that they are all brothers? All together their claim is quite ARROGANT when it comes to being an (indisputable) authority. Does a servant oblige whoever he/she serves? The fact that they are already ruling before the arrival of Christ tells a lot about them . Jesus is the one who will assign those who will rule with him after passing the test ...Nobody absolutely nobody can inquire about the financial. Every month a full load leaves the Kingdom Halls and I ask myself. Aren’t they just cloning people to increase their business. The sheep has to do everything, donate, give financial aid to the CO, help those in the hospital and those in need, work on the Contruction Sites , buy the material , etc . So they can later on just sale those buildings without even saying an legit explanation. They are depriving the communities from the place of worship by ransacking for the love of money. Will people ever see them hungry, in jail, sick, without clothes? Not likely; they have it all. They have the best chefs, drycleaners, janitors, transportation, beds, the most expensive hard liquors , wine, food, etc and the poor slaves, well they are working like slaves day and night promoting their website, you need to do it, because you are not allowed to preach just direct from the Bible you need to use their literature because their literature has their website to attract people to become another clon . When the people are not useful anymore due to illness or age, they get discarded like paper plates; by this time they have no friends and in many cases no family, because they brainwash them to not to be close to those who are not sharing the same sect . They isolate the people and now they are at their mercy.

I was a regular pioneer in the 70’s along with my brother-in-law. He applied for Bethel and was accepted. After he was there for a year and a half he was sent back home. The stories he told are unbelievable. Homosexuality amongst the sisters and brothers caused many to be disfellowshipped, reproved, and kicked out. The governing body completely cleaned house and there was no mention of it, just covered up. The only reason I knew the details was because my brother-in-law had first hand knowledge. And of course he was disfellowshipped himself. He was born gay and couldn’t change. My two sons were born gay but raised by me as JW,s. Both baptized but could not live a lie. After being in the “truth” for thirty plus years, I woke up to the real truth. I basically wasted one half of my life in the organization.

Everything Splane says is designed to put words in your mouth and thoughts in your head. "You LOVE the organization..." Did you notice that his response to dealing with questions about their doctrine is to ONLY consult the sources of those doctrines? If it's the truth, it should stand up to scrutiny. You should be able to poke it with a stick. The fact that they say "don't research", "don't question", "don't harbor private ideas" is an unwitting admission that their words will not withstand examination in the light of truth.

Just halfway through so far. I just wanted to mention that I thought it very strange that David Splane stated with glee that Eliphaz admitted talking to a spirit he didn't recognise. He chuckled a little. What was so funny? Then later when he said regarding interviewees on TV programmes "you know what those people would say", he smiled. Some of "those people" are victims of CSA. Is that something to smile about? It seemed very misplaced..very odd. Anyone else notice that? I'm reminded of Stephen Letts talk a few years ago where he said reports about CSA were apostate driven lies and he licked his lips as he said no organisation does more than Jehovah's organisation to protect children. Creepy.

I think about Lett's rant back then. Lying right into the faces of all jehovah witnesses. Lying to their faces with such sincerity. By now all jehovah witnesses have to be aware of all their lies. They have to be. They watch these videos. Unless they have selective amnesia they have to remember all the videos. The shunning instructional videos were my favorites and the hilarious pillowgate video. But this one is hard to beat. The hypocrisy is awesome. The best one yet. Thanks for that masterful expose. Much appreciated. When I took Watchtower to court they did not settle the case before it went to court (Matt 5). They were guilty, but thought they could get away with what they had done, and mostly they did. But it cost them thousands of Euros to pay a barrister, when they could have saved that money by apologising to me. Three times the judges told WT they had breached human rights and the Irish Constitution but they chose to ignore that. Their lies during that case were horrendous. Even so, I still hope some elders can be saved from the sin-inducing secret rules of WT.

I’ve stopped the charades of “my religion has the truth and all others have the lie or is spurred by the devil”. This creates in us a very judge mental, close minded view of others which has caused so much wars/death and segregation/broken families/social structure. The latter is like a mental death and is just as bad if not worse than taking someone’s life . I also don’t see the reasoning that life came from nothing without a designer/creator (nothing comes from nothing, man can’t even create a blade of grass!). So that leaves me sitting here wondering why god is allowing most if not all of us to be confused with a million different religions (thousands in Christianity alone) while our eternal life supposedly hinges on our decision now. I hope one day he will make himself clear in his direction and we will all have the chance to choose if we want to spend eternity under this new arrangement rather than immediate death without fully understanding (the goats or ones seated on the ‘left’). Otherwise, why create humans with free will if we just have to follow a strict path like robots. Let people choose once they are clearly informed, if not then armageddon will just be God’s Holocaust and it will go down in history as the opposite of love

When I was reported to elders by my husband, was labeled an apostate, was disfellowshipped and shunned, I found this Scripture and I wrote it down and even all these years later, since I still remember the hurt now and then, open the little box and reread this beautiful Scripture: “The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit-a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God. Isaiah 54:6. I was a young wife when I was rejected.

This is obviously the end of the Watchtower; whole conventions spent on "apostates" . The GB have two choices. 1) Carry on as they are and become all but extinct -a bit like the Moonies or 2) Openly admit their failures and undergo a serious reformation to try and survive as a religious sect. My guess is that there are too many Elmer Gantry's in the GB enjoying a great lifestyle and will choose option 1.
