You can tell that everything in the switch version is a slightly (maybe 50%) lower resolution, but the developers made up for it by adding a nice bump in contrast and some saturation changes to offset it. My only concern could be the screen lag when you were going through the menus, and the AI looked a bit basic when you decided to drive past -through- that crowd. Still surprisingly comparable even if it doesn't have all of the sparkly things (particles) when it rains.

Honestly, I really did not notice much of a difference while playing. I even say in my review that "it's very similar to my PC version". Only when you put it side by side does it show, but I figured it was only fair to show the difference. And considering what a big game it is and what a simple device Switch is, I think it's very good.

As a Switch owner and a massive fan of the Jurassic Park franchise I’ve absolutely enjoyed my experience with this game. There have been a few hiccups with the frame rate (hoping it will get patched soon) but if you compare it to an infamous port of another dinosaur game that game out in 2018 you can see which company put in more effort for the Switch port.

I think the main difference is in the colors. The black stripes of the Struthi in the PC seem deeper, but the bit of red on the Ceratos face seems to pop more. Interesting.

I pre-ordered the game last night and stayed up till midnight so I could try to play it only to be told by my switch that "you cannot play this software or downloable content yet. Please try again later." And now I'm pissed because I wasted my time.

Obviously not expecting perfection, but if it is in the ballpark of what the Diablo 3 port looks like in handheld then I'm sold. That really didn't look like 1080p in console mode for the Switch. I know the Switch isn't powerful by PC and even console standards but the resolution is still VERY playable and anyone who has a Switch and grabs JWE, you're going to have a great time!!

And I've just purchased this!! I would like Frontier to somehow get Planet Coaster running on switch. I know the issue for Planet Coaster iis most likely how many peeps are in the park but surely they could work around that somehow. Frontier have been throwing everything at Switch this year, so I'm hoping they've actually been working on a port the whole time and it's just taking longer.

I think the quality on the switch is the quality of the game when it was first released (proof no1 a tree on the mountain at the start, and proof no2 the intro is longer on pc)

Ehhh you can tell the difference when zooming out. .. the dinosaur model still the same, but the LOD and the texture from the tree and water are so low quality.

All dinosaurs are in, it's the "complete edition" afterall. If it works on Lite you'd have to ask Frontier on their socials, I don't know.
