Don’t let dinosaurs die of age. I always “retire” them by putting them in with a carnivore to finish them off so they can take half their rating. I rarely ever lose a carnivore to the herbivore, so it’s a good gamble. Carnivore versus another carnivore can be a risk I wouldn’t bet the farm on because the wrong one will lose eventually.

Right now I am trying to get all the achievements with Challenge Mode, but it’s so hard to speed run it. I am hoping to find more tips and maybe try for a world record speed run at this point.

For anyone who wants the skins for the jeeps all you have to do is Drive the top speed for 5 or 4 consecutive seconds & ramp 5 feet high. You'll get the 1998 jeep skin & the 1993 one as well.

An Tip to remember, you can put large herbivores with large carnivores and they (I forgot to put won't here) Kill each other just don't put an indominus Rex in there.

Gotta make sure the herbivores have enough food and water locations though. I've heard they panic and won't eat near carnivores just like how the raptors won't eat/drink if bigger carnivores are nearby.

Tip: if you (somehow) overpopulated a park, and you don’t want to sell your dinosaurs, make a “quarantine zone” with all of your overpopulated dinosaur species. It will get some cool fights in for dinosaur ranking as well as lowering that population

Tip here maybe don't breed raptors on an island that has storms unless it's a mission cause raptors are one of the most if not THE most aggressive dinosaurs and will without a doubt escape from their enclosure so if you want to have things relatively, in your parks do not have raptors unless you have to proper fencing

I'd extend that to Dilos and really any of the small carnivores. They can all be pain-in-the-butts during a storm. I try to minimize them too, but to 5 star during campaign avoiding all the small carnivores is hard. Sometimes it's even hard to avoid the Velos. On Pena I usually have 2 or 3 Dilos and 3 or 4 Deinonychus and they can be hell, but it's the only way I feel able to 5 star with the minimum space (they live with bigger carnivores).

Tip-Use the sencey trees instead of the forest options because you don’t need to Blanche first and grassland

Build a lock around the creation lab gates. This will create an area that isolates new releases from the population outside. Once the new Dino is released from the lab tranq it and fly it to where you need it. This is very useful when releasing carnivores.

Oh another good tip I've heard - saving the game immediately after a storm is announced and restarting the game if the damage is too great. You end up with a save point you can go back to without losing anything in your park and the storm ends up spawning somewhere else, hopefully less damaging. I do this when too many dinos get loose or if the rangers station goes down cause I like my Rangers to do the dangerous work of knocking out the dinos and making the repairs. :)

Mabye when prehistoric kingdom comes out you can do some tips on that. Tip:try to make a big enclosure for your new animal until you know how big of an enclosure it needs. Then you shrink it. This is for space reasons. It might not work on the little islands

I count fence lengths. 1 full length fence for every side of a paddock is good for Struthiomimus, for example. I have a paper with minimum full fence lengths needed for each type of dino. Usually I still end up building bigger than needed, especially for those dinos that like lots of trees (sauropods) but it's a good baseline especially on Pena.

Also the acu centre can't get damaged by the dinosaurs the ranger station if your playing on Jurassic difficulty it will cost you a lot of money and the acu centre can medicate and shoot flares and you only get this when you get 5 stars on each island the only thing I use the ranger station for is to resupply feeders and rebuild building

For islands like Matanceros and Sorna, I'll run 2 HCL's. 1 connected to a "Herbivore Gyrosphere Exibit", and the other used for other herbivores and carnivors.

You know what would be cool.... At least 10-20 more battle animations per dinosaur, instead of the basic VERY boring repeat bite step back, bite, step back etc... But actually have the dinosaurs attack in full on played out animations and DLC's can release further more justifying their efforts for a more immersive gameplay through animations/reactions between dinosaurs. The goal when it comes to games like these isn't to make it a game, but to make it a movie in itself aswell.

I have also found that if a carnivore escapes from its pen if they start killing people the guest injury Lawsuits can get really expensive and can put you into crippling debt very fast. So if a carnivor escapes hop in the helicopter and take care of it

when building my park i put the ranger station in a enclosed space with a gate in front of the jeeps and close to the power stations. this way if there is any sabotage i can re boot the gates and power quicker. also when doing the missions when dinos want to break out use the ranger to keep using flares. drastically cuts down on escape attempts but it will attack you

I upgrading my caratos (ceratosaur) fence by deleting from replacing with a better one and it got to close so I couldn’t replace it and all them ran out (3) and one was just sat near the fence like holding a door

Want easy 5 star rating. Start small. Build monorail. Build hotel, clothing shop, arcade. Restaurant,bar. All have 4 star. Adjust the capacity when reaches full. Right at the monorail path. Build one path to hold these. Dont bother with visibility. You can run the rail thru your enclosures. Create brachis, camara, indominos and dilos. These alone give you dino rating of 5. Mix the dna tho for max rating.

What the recommended cool down time for tranqing a Dino? When I've tranqed one too much within a certain amount of time, they NEVER wake up... they just starve to death while unconscious... and this is just after 2 tranqs within a few minutes... the first tip isn't really an option for me (as I'm afraid of killing them) ☹🤷‍♂️ Might I be overlooking something ir doing something wrong? (Oh, and I have tried shooting them with a Medicated dart to wake them... no go).

I wish I could use the Jeep tip. But the controls on XBox are such a pain for me. I can't drive the Jeep precise enough for it to be worth it except in extreme circumstances (there being no other option). I was never good at driving games though. Anyway, I love the AI for doing most of my work when it comes to breakouts and other like issues. With enough emergency shelters and the carnivores isolated to a corner of each island where storms get bad, my parks survive the AI being a little slow.

Question 2 restroom, restaurants, clothes store, etc. I set the option for food or shopping but then later it goes back to the original setting...why? Question 3 in some of the islands under missions says "Management" what am I supposed to do? Question 4 some stores have 1200 guests and a store next door has 0 ...why? everything is connected just 0 guests. Question 5 Transportation is at 0 but at one of my islands I have Monorails set up and are working and connected, but still says zero, do I need to have one where the entrance to my parks is and start from there? for now, that's all I don't want to be annoying lol.

The best way to make sure that no fence brakes during storms. Follow the tornado with the fence tool enter demolition mode by pressing delete onto your keyboard when the tornado destroy a fence delete it than quickly build a new fence.... also you only need 4 buildings to get maxed satisfaction they are restaurant, clothes shop both researched on the 1st island, arcade unlocked by research on the 3rd island and a toilet which is unlock automatically. Sorry for the long comment,.

Or even better, create a concentrated area of fencing on the opposite side of the island to where your main park is, wait for a tornado and that will take out the concentrated area of fencing first. Don’t repair it and the tornado won’t ever come back (but you do have to put up with the red symbol at the top of the screen throughout the play through). Works a treat in Challenge Mode (although you can kinda class it as cheating!)
