I don't know much about their phones I'm a big Samsung guy ,but I have a TCL TV that I've had for seven years and I also purchased a Samsung TV at the same time and the TCL had a great picture and it still works ,the Samsung stopped two years ago so with that I'd say I would definitely try this phone if I was in the market for a backup!

Hey J.W. Yeah, TCL made the Alcatel idol 4s, and it to was truly more nice, than it's cost. But it has those grrrreat, front facing stereo speakers. Oh how I wish they'd have kept that style in play. I'm not a big fan of,,the more lenses,the better,,idea though. Simple and good,,, that's my pixel 2 xl. But man I still miss the speakers on the 4s. This Pixel is ok,,,but not the same. Thanks man.

The main problem with such brands (TCL, Oppo, Nubia, Vivo, Realme, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Nokia etc...) Is that you will never find any good brand cases... No way to be able to buy Otterbox, Caseology, Mous, Spigen, Supcase, Ringke, UAG, Speck, Incipio, Tech 21, Pitaka cases with these types of phones... 🤷

I was wary of this chipset at first. Until I remembered the BlackBerry KEY2 (made by TCL) that I'm typing this on has the 660 and has been flawless. They know how to get the most out of a lower end processor.

Really strong "start" for TCL. As it's own brand. Great quality x price. It's kind a son of a threesome between Samsung, Xiaomi and Oneplus. These brands should be worried. Because TCL has one hell of a scale. Loved the aesthetic. Flush backs are hot. And a lot of neat features. The useful kind. IR blaster! Appears to be a good launcher. This "new" company could definitively rock the market. Even for Samsung.
