Stormy has the greatest mom. She is so loving to him. I really enjoyed watching him nibbling on his mom's face as if he was kissing her & saying 'I love you mom'. That's how I read it anyway. I wonder if time will heal his little legs or if will always be like this.

Well it got me too Joseph.. those tears came out if the sheer love between mom and son..how I hope he gains some movements but its not looking good so far..i just worry how he will get around the bigger he gets..if mom carrys him its still going to be a problem as his body will be dragging on the ground more..but I'm trying not to think about it..i made a decision early on not to watch Stormy videos so I won't get attached but i had to find out how the lil guy is doing.. still not been able to watch that video Arroz did dedicated to our lovely Kailey..too upsetting..silly old bugger aren't I..hope you're well my friend..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👍👍👏🐒🙉🙈🙊

I have tried to figure out what makes one baby cuter than another. At that age, for the most part, they look very similar. But, no, they are unique and some are simply cuter and/or have a more distinct personality. Stormy is both: super cute and has such a great personality! I wish him a full happy monkey-life! His mom is wonderful, btw.

What a lovely tribute to Stormy and his devoted mum. Aside from his poor little legs, Stormy looks so strong and healthy. And handsome! He doesn’t have that pitiful, nervous look that some babies have. He has bright, inquisitive eyes and above average confidence. He looks intelligent! And his mum…can monkey mums be canonized? She is almost saintly in her calm, loving care for her disabled baby boy. You have created such a loving portrait here. Thank you for your hard work. He’s so adorable and full of life. I love every moment of this video. He’s so brave and persistent. I Pray he continues to make progress and thrive. I thought I saw some movement in Stormy's back legs in the first few minutes of this video. But then, around 15:40, after Skullhead's troop left, I saw him beside his mom and I swear he had all four legs supporting him! Thank you, JW, for your investment in our happiness caused by your videos. Stormy's recovery may be slow, and he may never recover full function in his back legs, but I believe he will eventually recover enough to be able to walk, run, and jump with the troop. Keep fighting, Stormy!!

Hey everyone. I just came upon this video and my heart nearly broke after seeing little Stormy. How did this happen? I hope it's a temporary set back and he's able to walk some time soon . I recognized Martha and Skullhead's troop ( I follow AM's videos and know a lot of members from each troop). These creatures just warm my heart. They bring a little sunshine into a bleak world. No apology needed, just keep us updated on how he's doing. I think he has a better than good chance at a very good recovery. Maybe not how everyone would want but I seen him stand on his back legs for a couple seconds and that is wonderful progress, and it also means that his spine isn't completely damaged. Macaques have the ability to heal themselves after severe trauma has occurred so lets all be optimistic and say a little prayer for him.

This answered the question I'd asked Arroz 2 weeks ago. I was wondering if Martha had given birth this year. I didn't think she was quite THAT old, but perhaps she's reached the end of her reproductive years. She had the tiniest, most adorable babies, but the last 2 died very young. Button was her last surviving baby, born in 2016, so he'd be long gone from the troop and out on his own in a bachelor troop by now.

Recovery from what? Looks like his mom suffers from a huge abdominal hernia. That hernia location could lead to and cause an unhealthy pregnancy and birth. Stormy’s lower extremities are paralyzed, mostly likely injured during the birth process. So I’m curious why you believe he will recover from what looks like a permanent birth defect. Both he and his mother have permanent injuries, but don’t know it. They will carry on as best they can because neither possess the will to die.
