Whitney's voice is a human treasure. Dead or alive, she is for sure the best female voice in music history. Whitney Houston was a born star. she was a gift from mother Nature The golden standard of a females voice. everyone wishes they could sound like her, men and women. The world's greatest singer. Whitney is a master of all the techniques, 1) resonance, 2) Vibrato, 3) Colorature 4)inflections 5) scaling up and down 6) natural 7)falsetto or soft soprano for a woman 8) throat, diaphram and head singing 9) Crescendo and decrescendo and breath control 10) staccato and perfect diction Than to top THAT, she was also physically the MOST beautiful singer to ever exist as well

I love your reaction! Everytime a watch this video, I always in tears before but now its all overwhelming. This was on her prime were she was unmatched. She is the greatest singer/vocalist of all time! She has it all, power, range, pure tone, Angelic headvoice, Clear pronounciation and intonation, Runs and riffs which she introduces it, the confidence and the command on stage, stage presence is remarkable. The way she pit emotions into thr songs and deliver it with ease and striking to your heart is amazing. Being a singer is not all about vocals but most important is the connection of the singer to the song into the audience. Emotions comes first and that's how Whitney Houston was masterfully done in the past. She is called "The Voice" for nothing.

A goosebump reaction is always a sure fire way that the intention to bring the listener in is successful. Yay!! Crazy how she’s references in American Psycho - I’m curious to read about that. 9.5 is a great score!

Heyy so the tick u mention at 3.28... if you notice a few singers have some for of "tick" "expression" when singing i.e. Mariah Waving hands.. and her spirit fingers (which generally comes when she's riffing)... Whitney does this in all her performances especially! If she is feeling it, u will she her do a "spirit" fingers also.. with her runs or when she feeling it.... other then that it's just her directing her band.

Singers are taught to visualize the notes, especially when they are doing runs. So what you see Whitney doing with her fingers or Mariah does with her hands, they are actually visualizing and playing the notes that they are singing. It's a technique taught to helps singers stay in tune and sing the right notes.

This song saved my life at 6. I wanted to commit suicide and after her telling me I have the greatest love of all inside me...stopped that suicidal Demonic desire. 😔😪😌👏. Keep in MIND I'm 43 this month.

The reason you are not crying (like me) it's because of the constant stoping which ruins the whole feeling of the performance. If you would have listened to it alone without stoping I promise you will get "a tear or two"

A necessary evil, I'm afraid (for copyright reasons). Fair comment. I listened to it afterwards uninterrupted and still didn't cry, though. P. S Funnily enough, I also went and listened to the original George Benson version after this and found myself becoming more emotional during his. Both incredible versions of a beautiful song.

Please I mean, you must watch Cyndi Lauper's live at last the whole dvd.. Not second best to Whitney I swear.. Start with the dying at least. She was already over 50 in that lice and having a voice of a 30 year old. The technique..
