Thank you for this excellent video. Like many I knew nothing about the WNBA until I stumbled across a few youtube videos with highlights of Caitlin Clark plays. Her talent is extraordinary. She can score from anywhere on the court. She controls the ball equally well with either hand. Amazing passing with incredible precision - whether a long-distance pass or a behind-the-back bounce pass. And unlike several WBNA players, she exhibits good sportsmanlike conduct on and off the court. The WBNA needs to get rid of about 1/3 of its players - and all of the corrupt refs. Too many play dirty, and too many scream racism. There are too many flagrant fouls where the refs look the other way - or they look with a blind eye and silently cheer the offender. Caitlin Clark is here to play clean professional basketball - and that is what attracts fans. Too many other players are there to play dirty full-contact roller derby - and that is what turns fans off.

The focus shouldnt be "why is she getting all this attention?" it's obvious when you see her play. I can't get over the absolute swarms of young girls coming to see her in this vid alone. She could inspire a whole generation of girls to play hoops, who want to learn to shoot and pass like she does. And people will undoubtedly stick around and see other great players in the league as well. You need people like CC who come in and are just doing things you never seen before. It grows the game. People will literally be practicing and growing skills that they never did before because the bar has been raised. And controversial take, I'd rather see CC taking beyond NBA 3's and making them, than a girl bigger than anybody else miss 5 layups and get all those rebounds

She looks more NBA then WNBA, and she will hopefully get better as in faster and more efficient and thus separate herself further from them. What also works against the others is when Angel Reese who looks so bad is commenting anything regarding CC. Hopefully Angel takes basketball seriously becomes a female like Julius randle and creates a nice rivalry. Both need to continue to improve their respective games. I do think that the options that Angel has or perhaps her interests might not line up with basketball. Where CC just seems like a gym rat. We will see what becomes of their respective careers.

Good news is, the league as a whole, will raise there level of play. Remember Bird and Magic did not do it alone. They laid the path that Mike consumed. CC is a role model on, and off the court. CC gets hate from the rest of the league because she is straight, white and Christian. These WNBA players and former players need to get over themselves and realize CC is good for all of them. They should be promoting her and pushing her brand. I do have to give CC credit for the way she has handled it all though, she has stayed humble and kept her mouth shut. Of all the names mentioned at the beginning of this video, CC is unique in that it is the media that is actually suppressing positive coverage of her. When the others were rising, it was largely the media that was running cover for them. Emphasizing each new box score, analyzing and explaining just why what you watched was so historic and making excuses for them (I.e. LeBron just needs more help). The content is there, ripe for the taking. CCs numbers are even more impressive when you consider she’s been picked up full court, roughed up, double teamed etc whereas past rookies didn’t have to go through that. Give her a good franchise with a solid coach and some HOF veterans and it gets bananas
