Marko’s swan song with the band and what a way to exit! Love this song and wrecks me every time.

"Tip the reaper to ensure The blade is sharp As soon we'll go" Haunting, emotional, great lyrics. The Thief is the time, which we share and that goes by too fast. Absolutely love this song and your beautiful reaction! Thank you, Jynger.

This song gets me emotional as well, especially at the end. A phenomenal track. Gets better with every listen.

Wonder if there’ll ever be a vocalist to fill in Marco’s void? Or a reunion down the line? The vocal chemistry the 2 of them has was incredible, although brilliant, it’s not quite the same without the voice of Marco to compliment Floor? But this is another example of the brilliance of Thomas’ ability to compose and express the limits of his imagination

Unfortunately this was the "Swan Song" of Marko. We all miss him. I met Marko in Summer 2021 in my hometown. We had a nice little chat.

The song flows from Human to Nature. You can feel the departure of humanness into the abyss. When you listen to the second CD, you will see why.

Great reaction! Last song on Disc 1 from the album and so fitting. Hauntingly beautiful song about the preciousness of life and a reminder to make it count. Then at the end, to gracefully join the flow and embrace our final endless rest. My second favorite song from Human Nature after Shoemaker.

An underrated song. Never got to be played live, as Marko left before they got the chance to tour this album, due to Covid lockdown. Don’t think I see anyone ever picking up his part on this one.

Last song on CD1 of Human:ll:Nature, and the only one on the record with Marko on lead vocals. For obvious reasons, it has never been played live. Not likely to happen, but it would be awesome if Marko joined them at some point in the future to play this live. One can dream.

Endlessness marks the end of the first dvd human nature, and the beginning of the second dvd. Its about transience and resurrection / recreating and was the last recorded song with Marko within Nightwish.

Not heard this for a while but it got me again towards the end. Really makes you think about the bigger picture and existence of the universe and how we are just a miniscule part of it. Great song!

🇫🇮❤This song is a journey of acceptance and release. The "Thief," seems to be a representation of life itself, coming to take us away to a world beyond the physical. The lyrics lead the listener to accept his/her mortality and embrace the idea of "endlessness," suggesting that life is not finite, but is instead a continuous cycle of beginnings and endings, with each occurring in its own way. With this realization, the listener is encouraged to live life to the fullest and make the most out of each moment, as there is always something to be discovered.

I think the thief = time.
@tarmotyyri6733 Жыл бұрын
@@stamasd8500 Time and life are the two sides of the sane coin - time passes as life goes on in general & from a person's perspective. The lyrics also say that "I am the grass, the maggots and the dust", which for me refers to the passing of life from birth to death.

I have to admit that I got a little turned off by the harvest song on this album, and I didn’t really dive into the whole album and give it a chance, but when I finally did a few months ago, this song is the one that clinched it for me. It just has that “haunting“ feel that you are talking about and Marco’s voice really makes the song!

Jamie, Harvest studio version is a slow burner song, which slowly worked its way into my heart Harvest live is an absolute banger, a beast of a song! Cheers, Hans
