I fully endorse a reaction to 'All the Works of Nature Which Adorn the World', it's a beautiful journey. As you venture into the past with Tarja and Anette I would recommend double reactions with performances by both the original singer and by Floor, not to compare the vocalists but to compare the arrangements. Tuomas has been known to re-record choir and orchestration for the live backing track to better compliment the live sound.

@RhinoVanDam I honestly found Anette's voice suitable for the songs on DPP and Imaginaerum (especially the latter). She has this storyteller, child-like horror/fantasy vibe to her naturally bright voice that suited songs like 'Scaretale' and 'Storytime'. Personally, my only issue with Anette was that she was never as good on a live performance as much as she was in the studio. Other than that, I enjoyed the albums she was in (Last Ride of the Day was my top replay song until Wacken 2013 with Floor, and her version of it was /then/ my next top replay song lol) Also, I love the energy Floor brings to Amaranth but I am just a bit in favor of Anette’s (studio version). Especially love Anette in songs like Turn Loose the Mermaids; Meadows of Heaven; Eva; The Crow, The Owl and The Dove!

Welp... I commented before watching the whole video because of time constraint xD Still keeping it here though: Please please please don't forget about the works of nature, the album isn't over with Endlessness. Even though the second disc is (mostly) instrumental, it's a continuation of the songs you've listened to so far, and Ad Astra is the perfect proper end to the album :D Also it might be worth reading up briefly on the hykkal hymn (sp?), its 'sampled' and gives the whole 'birth of everything until the very end' concept stronger when you realize how old 'written' music is ^^ I would suggest listening to the first disc in one go first, and have that lead into the instrumental songs. Don't break them up, listen to it in one go, it's a wonderful half hour of music that you'll definitely like with your like/affinity for (movie)score music. (Did you know that Tuomas is a huuuuuge Hans Zimmer fan? :D) Thank you for all the Human Nature reactions so far

I have so much fun watching your Nightwish videos. I love that it's more than a pure "this is so great!" reaction, you're kind and intelligent and educational and enthusiastic and plain adorable sometimes, I'm always looking forward to the next video. I absolutely can't wait to going through every other Nightwish song with you! :)

This has been an incredible journey to go on with you! Thank you for sharing your insights with us and pointing out aspects that I'd never noticed despite having listened to the entire album multiple times! It's always a joy to watch your videos and I'm definitely going to have to go through and watch your reactions to other bands now haha! As for reactions to Anette, my personal favorite song that she's done with Nightwish is "The Heart Asks Pleasure First." It's a stellar adaptation of Michael Nyman's gorgeous piano piece!

Wonderful reaction and analysis video Chase! I have grown to love this CD. I kind of think of it as music for adults? There is no focus on making this recording about all heavy or any particular style. However each song gives you something intellectually to think about in a very personal way. There are so many layers to this amazing compilation of music. I love the way Tuomas has decided to begin the recording with "Music". Being a musician and making it his life's work it makes so much sense. Not to mention it is what this entire CD and Tuomas' life is all about. Then the journey begins and touches on many if not all aspects of our human condition. Then "Endlessness" as the final song. If you think about the title of the song and the song placement within this CD it presents a wonderful dichotomy. The placement says "The End", but the title and song itself says "There is no Ending"? And now we come to the lyrical content of the song. It is explains Tuomas', and most likely others within Nightwish' conceptual belief in what occurs when we all reach that final stage of life on this plane of existence. Once you look closer at the lyrics you will see that this is a spiritual song dealing with the concept of death as a crossing over to another plane of existence/nonexistence? The term used in this song as well as in the opening to "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" and mentioned in the chorus to "Sagan", both from the 2015 release "Endless Forms Most Beautiful, is "The Unseen Stream". It's a metaphor for the "flow" of genetic inheritance between species that has been passed down as though in a "stream" from the earliest of lifeforms as a result of evolution. This is why in the conclusion to this song you see the shapes in the gaseous cloud forms as the song slowly fades out. The message is basically "There is no ending, simply a circular movement to everything in existence. One door closes and another one opens so to speak. Many of Nightwish' members claim to be "Openly Secular" and this song embodies this concept perfectly. I have had people ask me personally "If you don't believe in a God, what do you believe in and how do you understand our place in this earthly existence"? This song answers that question perfectly! Always wonderful to take these journey with you my friend. Love it every time. Till the next one, Have a Damn Good Day. Peace.

Thank you Chase for taking us on your journey and at the same time educating us. Most of us ofcourse already knew how awesome it is but the technical details highlighted by you made it even more enjoyable. Your channel in the meantime has grown even bigger....everyone who watches reactor channels knows who you are. That is well deserved! You didn't chose to put your reactions only available on Patreon or having to be paid for... That i think was a great choice. I wish that one day you get to interview one of the band members...that would be the icing on the cake (also for us viewers). With that being said we will ofcourse keep on watching, liking and promoting your video's. Thanks again and HAVE A DAMN GOOD DAY!!!

Thank you so much for letting us share the journey with you! I can't believe some "fans" are out there hating this album but to each their own... I NEED to see this songs live, all this time without concerts is heartbreaking :( Anyways, thank you again and if you want to do some Anette I'll highly recommend Scaretale live, I think it's the song that fits her the most! Stay awesome and safe! ♡

I can sort of understand that. This and the last album are statements, and maybe "real" fans weren't expecting that. For me, I didn't think I could love Nightwish more than I did. With the latest two albums, I realized there was no roof.

Yas, been waiting for this since Music, and I wasn't disappointed. Thanks, Chase! ♥️ I'm so happy you appreciate this song. I promise, there's a lot to discover when you listen to it more. :) 20+ years of being a fan and I didn't think they were capable of releasing a song that would become my all time favorite. They did, it's this one. I'm ashamed I ever thought that. I should know better. I do know better.

Hello Chase, I've just discovered your reactions to Nightwish today and I shamelessly admit to binge watching them in order. Your growth into this music reminds me of my own when I discovered them in 2003. I've watched so many reactions and I've seriously enjoyed yours. You seem to notice everything I do and a bit more, as you're a musician and I'm not. This band simply have a direct line to my soul (which has only grown with the addition of the band members). I'm so happy to find someone who has been hooked in by this amazing band in much the same way I was. I've seen them live in 4 different countries. I hope you too get to see them live soon too. They are the only band to have ever managed to get a tear out of my eye. Like what you've just done with the human nature album, I feel that you reacting to the entire Buenos Aires 2018 show would be amazing. It's 2 hours long so I can see how that would be difficult for you to do so I won't expect it. But that could be a great series of videos. Keep going with the Nightwish mate, you're fantastic at these reactions! 👏

No matter what you do with the second part of the album, can you please react separately to the last song 'Ad Astra'? Not the version from Nightwish channel, which is purely audio (like all of the second disc) but the official music video released by Nuclear Blast, which shows off the partnership between Nightwish and World Land Trust? The music, together with the iconic narration and the moving pictures/video shots from World Land Trust are just breathtaking together.
