This train runs like any express train between Ranchi and Chandrapura with a max speed of 110 km/h, due to being in a plateau region (especially the ghats section between Ranchi and Muri), the tracks aren't suitable for higher speeds. Tracks between Chandrapura and Dhanbad are in really bad shape due to fires in the coal mines under the track. A few years back, the Chandrapura Dhanbad line was shut down due to risks involved in running trains over coal mines under fire but later trains started with speeds around 40-50 km/h to avoid any kind of accidents. This train runs with true Shatabdi speed between Dhanbad and Howrah at 130 km/h.

But people who don't know will say that it's slow. Probably P5 has been given to this train so that IR can operate it between HWH-DHN @140kmph .This train is an emotion for me.

@@ankursaha4705 absolutely that can be done. I won't be surprised to know that this train has already done 140km/h atleast between DGR and HWH someday for trials. Not much for Ranchi, but this train is a lifeline for all the Kolkata based businessmen and engineers visiting the steel plants in Durgapur, Asansol, Dhanbad, Bokaro etc. Many such passengers, also I, used to take this Shatabdi in the morning, finish work by evening and return Kolkata by night on the same day. The stoppages at Raniganj, Chandrapura, Muri were added after constant lobbying by Eastern Coalfields, DVC, Hindalco respectively.

@@AnirbanDasanirban17das yes exactly it connects all the major industrial towns and also the fastest train to get to Kolkata from Jharkhand. It is preferred by most of the businessmen from kolkata and the officers of SAIL especially from DGR and BKSC and to cater their demands a 2nd Executive chair car was added in 2020.I used to travel from Bokaro To Kolkata in this train since my childhood when it used to have ICF rakes. Now it is one of the best train in ER for it's service, comfort and punctuality.

Speed Kam tha quki dhanbad to ranchi illegal coal mine h. Lekin dhanbad to hwh 130 kmph. Tip system bahut galat h.bahut train mein chalte hy. Nd if a person on duty in train he can't tell u stop recording yes of course co passenger can ask to stop recording due to his her privacy. But in duty staff can't.
