Wonderful. What would life be without Mozart?

I don't know why you think there are only a few who enjoy this. Mozart is still the most universally loved composer and this is one of his best loved movements.

Right. I'm baffled by the "discoveries" of these pieces as I read these comments. These pieces were played. in it's day mostly live! Like a pop hit, they were always there and were fully enjoyed before I was born. They have "resisted" hundred of years caused by brutal wars, fires, earthquakes, floods, etc. I'm 70 and I'm sure they will be there way, way, after I've died. The mediocrity of rappers, pop idols and so on won't do a dent . . . as I said, these music have survived worse!

Mozart's music, IMHO you have to be ready for it. I used to play Chopin and never Mozart. Now my 8 year old daughter plays the first allegro part of this sonate and she adores Mozart. I admire Mozarts music (in the meantime)so incredibly much. So grateful for his heritage of genius, beautiful music. Today I was driving to my daughters piano class, I played the andante part 2 in the car. She loved it so much. She said she loves Mozarts music because it has so much beauty and is sparkling and fresh, without ever being too sad. Amen....thank you Mozart for giving us this music treasure.

@@vita5836 it's supposed to be played like this, Andante means Slow, literally "walking"
@cathychan96894 жыл бұрын
Iván Uribe I agree but not literally slow.

I have been dabbling in piano for a couple of months and I have figured this out by ear, it's not hard. I play drums professionally and I can figure out anything by ear. The worst thing you can do is constantly rely on tutorials or sheet music because you won't learn anything.
@yarnf8 жыл бұрын
"You won't learn anything" ...well... except the music of course : /
@IsaacA1927 жыл бұрын
Yarn Fox Never saw this comment. You don't learn to play with sheet music, sheet music is like being given all the answers to a test without studying - you don't learn anything. In my experience as a drumming teacher the students I got who only learned to read couldn't play without a sheet telling them what to do. Those who I didn't give much in the way of sheet music to could improvise, play songs by ear and had a lot more feel.
@IsaacA1927 жыл бұрын
Joshua Carpenter I don't think that just because it works for me then it must work for others. I think it's something people should attempt to try rather than just instantly resorting to reading. Yes drums and piano aren't the same thing but it's still worth a shot.
@amadeusjustinn3 жыл бұрын
@@IsaacA192 "sheet music is like being given all the answers to a test without studying - you don't learn anything" What the hell are you talking about? You think a person reads sheet music and can immediately play whatever they just read? I've read the sheet music of Chopin's études multiple times in admiration; you think I, or anyone, can just walk to the piano and play Winter Wind from start to finish? Do you assume that every pianist that can play said étude just learnt the notes by ear? I've never seen a more asinine comment than this one.
