So what it sounds like, is that this girl has done nothing wrong her entire life, but has been relentlessly attacked by the public for “scandals” that she didn’t actually instigate. She develops an alcohol problem (shocking s/) and finally does something wrong. Now she’s being skewered because this one wrong thing is “in combination” with everything else? people can definitely have empathy for a person's situation without excusing their actions i think stephanie does such a great job of this not even just here, but in a lot of her videos! dispicable acts, but she always gives us insight into things that led up to that act (not that they're excusable or anything, but you get it) that said, having trauma does NOT give you an excuse to drink and drive there are so many people with so many varying levels of trauma they're not all drunking and driving likewise, not everyone who drinks and drives has heavy trauma the two should not be linked drinking and driving is a (stupid) decision someone makes

To be fair, all of us were once children and many adults have deep trauma of their own. No two traumas can be compared. people grow up as victims of sa, domestic abuse, homeless, mentally unwell and so much more, and alot of time that leads to drug use and alcohol abuse. I don't think we should be any more sympathy to a child star that endangers others life drinking and driving than we should to any other adult that was once a child with unimaginable trauma.

Not only expecting everyone esp those in the public eye to be perfect but also finding every little mistake/flaw they have and then tear them down for it. And of course you'll find some flaw/mistake because people are human. I’m surprised another scandal isn’t that she was also in dramas at the age of 13 being the main female lead in a love triangle with two 20 something year old idols from the group infinite!

You should do a video on Kim Ga-ram. She was a sixteen-year-old idol in the group Le Sserafim until she got accused of bullying. It blew up, and eventually she got kicked out in 2022. It seems like some people now feel bad about all the backlash she received from this. I’ve never seen anyone do a full, deep dive into the situation. I love your videos, and I think you’re an amazing storyteller, so I'm interested in seeing your coverage of the case.

Yeah, it was disgusting how full adults were so into bullying a 16 year old girl.

@@btb554I've seen recent comments on tiktok on how " we miss garam " or " hybrid kicked garam out when she was innocent " bullying in sk is so stupid , hybe defended garam she didn't deserve what she got , and now they are asking for her to come back , come back for what? So you can bully her again 😒

I’ve read before that Drew Barrymore started drinking at age 9 and even using weeds and cocaine after, but was forced to enter rehab and probably she have good support and that’ why she was able to turn her life around.

Apart from the DUI, the crimes she committed are so minor and inconsequential that they do not warrant being cancelled. Poor girl, they've had it out for her from day 1

We have a similar service here in Japan called "Daiko". Two drivers in a car will come to your location, one driver will drive your car with you, and the "daiko" car will follow behind so that your driver will have a ride to the next job. VERY useful. Should be a service made available in the US.

Wonderful point that her psyche would be greatly impacted by acting in those scenes. As a child she would care very little about making money and furthering her career. What children need is to feel safe and she was continually being put in situations that, real or imagined, threatened her safety.

I have so many questions for the parents though, even if she could not watch the shows but I would be very concerned if my child have to act continuously on such shows. Her being so mature (basing on the response) at such a young age also is quite alarming as that could signal that she had to be the parents for her parents instead of the other way around. Her agency also did such a terrible job in managing her look/scandal..

Even though I’m only 2 years older than had, I watched her grow up in the screens. She is an amazing actress and person but what person doesn’t change when they become famous. Hopefully she returns to move and dramas.

Many decided a long time ago that they hated her and nothing was going to change that, all they needed was to search for a reason and man they tried everything. What she did is wrong but I wish people would take into account her messed up childhood, working in movies with such intense topics, being so young but having so many eyes on her not to mention being bullied by these people since she was young. All of this had to have had a negative impact on her. I hope she works out any issues she's dealing with and makes a comeback, better than ever.
