What was the role of the late Mulugeta Luli who was resentful of Belaue from day one? He was closely working at that time with the dreaded security chief Coloniel Tesfaye. I think one undeserving object after another is dragged through the mud. A lot of Ethiopians were also in disbelief when they found out the late Gedamu Abraha like his brother were a closeted EPLF. Thanks for the great interview. Cheers.

I wonder what Ato Abera Lemma thinks about the nature of the Eritrean struggle (1961-1991). He referred to the fighters as separatists, and I don’t know if he still thinks the Eritrean people were or were not involved in the fight against the Ethiopian occupation army in Eritrea. How could he as a journalist support Ethiopian occupation of Eritrea, which was an Italian colony between 1890 to 1941, during which time Ethiopia did nothing to reclaim Eritrea from Italian colonial government? Ato Abera blames everyone army commanders, former colleagues, and even Menghistu Hailemariam. How about his involvement? I think his position lacks sincerity. At least, he should have accepted his negative role in Eritrea (he misinformed the Ethiopian people about the nature of the Eritrean struggle) if he wanted others to own their crimes. That is the least one expects of a journalist who claims to tell the truth.
