🤔🤔Um, yes, it would be insane to say "sh!t" being created today stands the test of time due to the simple fact that it's NEW, & hasn't had the time to test how it stands. 😬 However, there is music being created today that's far better than the sunshine band & will w/o a doubt stand up over time. Perhaps your just listening to the wrong "sh!t"🤔

KC was "Casey" - and yes he brought together an amazing band. So much fun - a disco pioneer. I love KC's voice, but it's the drums, congas, backup singers, horn section, guitars... they bring it all together and give it that sound. They called it "disco", but I think it was "funk." But definitions don't really matter - KC & The Sunshine Band (name for Florida, the Sunshine State, where they got together) was so much fun. P.S. Back in the day, I saw them on "Soul Train" (the video here) and also on "American Bandstand." That says a lot right there about how they crossed over genres and racial lines. That was so good for all!

Other big hits (meaning big-sellers that were played on the radio a lot) from KC and the Sunshine Band were "Get Down Tonight" (1975), "Shake Your Booty" (1976), and "I'm Your Boogie Man" (1976). Since y'all liked this, you would probably also like the group Heatwave from this time period; they had big radio hits with "Boogie Nights" (1976) and "The Groove Line" (1977), and Brick would probably also appeal to you, with hits like "Dazz" (1976) and "Dusic" (1977), all with that seventies disco-funk sound that gets you moving.

Won a dance contest to "Groove Line" in 77 maybe a day or two after it debuted. And many dances closed to their other hit in 78, "Always and forever".

I was a teen when this came out. The guys in our high school band played KC all the time on the band bus. ❤️

I graduated in 74 and we had the best music in the 1970's than any era

I'm pretty sure every generation thinks the same thing. I myself, graduating in 99 would have to disagree with you due to the fact that we had all of the music from yours and previous generations, along with everything made after that. Even if it was based on decade by decade, y'all are automatically disqualified for introducing the world to disco😜😂

@@starlaryer4165 A poll on disco? they already took a poll, that's why it was only around 3 years.. Most just wanted to wear bell bottoms and do blow on the back of toilet seats, any and all music sounds good with bell bottoms & blow🤭🤣

@@klintburns7230 My Pee Chee folder had a very artistic banner on it that said DISCO SUCKS! I am a rocker all of the way and at 65 I have to be careful, or I will throw my back out - lol...PS...I did not do any blow in the 70's, just LSD...blow was 80's and thank God I only stayed with it when it was popular
