Other big hits (meaning big-sellers that were played on the radio a lot) from KC and the Sunshine Band were "Get Down Tonight" (1975), "Shake Your Booty" (1976), and "I'm Your Boogie Man" (1976). Since y'all liked this, you would probably also like the group Heatwave from this time period; they had big radio hits with "Boogie Nights" (1976) and "The Groove Line" (1977), and Brick would probably also appeal to you, with hits like "Dazz" (1976) and "Dusic" (1977), all with that seventies disco-funk sound that gets you moving.

Won a dance contest to "Groove Line" in 77 maybe a day or two after it debuted. And many dances closed to their other hit in 78, "Always and forever".

KC was "Casey" - and yes he brought together an amazing band. So much fun - a disco pioneer. I love KC's voice, but it's the drums, congas, backup singers, horn section, guitars... they bring it all together and give it that sound. They called it "disco", but I think it was "funk." But definitions don't really matter - KC & The Sunshine Band (name for Florida, the Sunshine State, where they got together) was so much fun. P.S. Back in the day, I saw them on "Soul Train" (the video here) and also on "American Bandstand." That says a lot right there about how they crossed over genres and racial lines. That was so good for all!
