This is powerful and emotional storytelling at its best. Series and movies are written differently, but Kdramas have shown the old linear Hollywood structure needs to be reformed. Years ago, I submitted a spec script to a screenwriting peer group for critique. It was suggested by one reviewer not to use flashbacks or scenes showing previous depths and layers of a story or event. Additionally, he told me that the industry would reject my story if it didn't have a beginning, middle, and end without flashbacks. I disagreed wholeheartedly, of course. As this series has shown, it can be extremely powerful if done correctly.

Don’t know if you guys know already but the actor playing Bonseok’s dad and the bus driver are also in a variety show together called “Unexpexted business”. They filmed this year’s season three in the USA at a Korean store in Marina Monterey California. Def. check that out 😉
