A new filter from K&F Concept, this time an unusual one a Black Mist/Diffusion filter, combined with a Variable ND. They have a few different variations, I look at the 1/4 Mist with the ND 2-400 range.
In the video I show you the filter (photo and video samples), and demonstrate the effects you can get from it (daylight and at night/portraits etc). The 1/4 Mist is a medium effect (lower numbers are stronger 1/2 and 1 etc), with the 2-400 VND giving you around 1-9 stops of light reduction helping you get slower shutter speeds, or if using faster apertures in daylight.

When taking photos with this filter, will there be cross X?

Don't turn it too much and there won't be an X effect, as you can see in the video it does have an X (most ND filters do some have hard stops to prevent it) - but you can avoid it easily.

It comes down to do you need the black mist effect? If you are going to use it a lot, then it makes sense. If not then a normal variable ND might be a better choice. The mist effect isn't too strong in daylight (as the samples show), but is much more obvious at night. If it's only something you would use from time to time, then individual filters might be the way to go Hope that helps a bit

I suppose it depends on the range you want on the ND, for some this might cover most of what you need.

You can but you'll have to attach it to the phone somehow, not impossible maybe a couple of strong bands and a small filter size would work
