Delwar Hossain Sayeedi is an Islamic speaker and politician who served as a Member of the Parliament of Bangladesh from 1996 to 2008.
Early life
Sayeedi was born in a village located in Indurkani, Pirojpur (Barisal Division of present-day Bangladesh). His father Yusuf Sayedee was an Islamic orator. Allama Sayeedi received his first primary religious education at his local village madrassa, which was built by his father.Sayeedi attended the Sarsina Alia Madrasah in 1962, followed by the Khulna Alia Madrasah.Sayeedi started a business in a local village market after completing his religious studies.
Having gained recognition, he was elected as a member of parliament for constituency Pirojpur-1 in the 1996 and 2001 national elections of Bangladesh
Sayeedi is fluent in Bengali, Urdu and Arabic.

He was not a peace-preacher. He was a hate-preacher. If you observe carefully, you can easily understand that his lectures were very aggressive. He was never simple, polite and humble. His voice, tone and tune were such that he was in a war with some other people. His actions were just opposite to the character of our great Prophet (Sm.). He used to say ill of other Muslims in his so-called Tafsir Mahfil. What he explained to the people about The Holy Quran in the name of Tafsir only Allah knows. How far his Tafsir was accurate also Allah knows. But he always tried to assassinate the character of other great people and political leaders whom he did not like. His lectures always depicted a scenario that he and his followers were in a war with other people of his society. In none of his lectures he was found to say anything to establish peace in the society. He always advocated fighting with everybody who were unlike to him and his followers. He never prayed to Allah about the ‘Hidaya’ for whom he thought to be far away from the life style Allah defined. His lectures were directed to eliminate the opponents from this earth. He never spoke for tolerance and peaceful co-existence. He was always, as if, in war-footing.

ভাইয়া ভুল জানেন....বেশিরভাগ মানুষেই জানে তিনি জামাতের সাথে আগে যুক্ত ছিলেন না...এবং মুক্তিযুদ্ধের বিরুদ্ধে কোন কাজ করেননি... কিন্তু কালক্রমে অনেক ইতিহাস পরিবর্তন হয়ে দেলু সিকদার আর দেলোয়ার হোসেন সাইদী হুজুরকে একব্যক্তি বানিয়ে মনগড়া একটি বিচার করা হয়েছে...
