K&K Pure Mini Pickup Test with HD28

I have a D18 with a K&K pure mini. I plug it into an ACUS amp but I think I need a pre-amp… it sounds a bit muddy. What (simple) pre-amp you think I need for my gear? Thank you.

@@jasper_north K&K make a good one that works well but really any of the Fishman preamps are also great. There are plenty of others on the market. Even a simple old Boss Eq pedal set well can make an amazing difference.

It’s pretty nice, but it does feed back pretty easily so not ideal for louder gigs. Quieter small gigs maybe. Does sound very natural, I guess that’s why bluegrass players like the K&K stuff.
