বাংলাদেশের বৈদেশিক মুদ্রার রিজার্ভ এক সময় ছিল ৪৮ বিলিয়ন ডলার। বর্তমানে কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংকের হিসাবে তা নেমে এসেছে ১৯ বিলিয়ন ডলারে। অন্যদিকে, বলা হচ্ছে ব্যবহার যোগ্য রিজার্ভ আরও কম- মাত্র ১৫ বিলিয়ন ডলার। এ কারণে প্রকট হয়ে ওঠেছে ডলার সংকট। অর্থনীতিবিদরা বলছেন, সামষ্টিক অর্থনৈতিক অব্যবস্থাপনাই এজন্য দায়ী। ব্যাংকাররা মনে করেন, যোগানের চেয়ে চাহিদা বেশি হওয়ায় এ সংকট। এদিকে, ব্যবসায়ীরা বলছেন, আমদানি রপ্তানির আড়ালে বৈধ পথে অনেক অর্থ পাচার হয়ে যাচ্ছে। সম্প্রতি TBS FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION এ তারা এসব কথা বলেন। টিবিএস’র চতুর্থ বর্ষপূর্তি উপলক্ষে শুরু হওয়া এ আলোচনা চলবে ধারাবাহিকভাবে।

More & more money (dollar or euro whatever u call) will fly away from country unless govt fixes turmoils in financial sectors for example acgual inflation is sky rocketing but interest on deposit is marely 9 to 10%, registration fees for owning land or flats has sky rocketted - so people will invest abroad if they have sny opportunities. Economy is in real shambles !!!!!!!!
