Statins are good for reducing LDL. But optimum level of LDL is essential and has protective action. Perhaps very low level of LDL causes carcinomas. I have seen a person dying of brain tumor after excessive use of statin, whose son happened to be an MBBS doctor.

I am 30 years old. (5'4"/M/65kg). No hypertension, non diabetic, non smoker, non alcoholic, no past history sudden cardiac arrest/no cardiovascular disease/ no genetic hypercholestorilimia in the family. Last year my problem was that after 25 to 30 days gap I was getting heart pain. Last year in May it was serious. So after this course till last January I had less pain periodically. Now I am on statin and prolol . I have stopped clopi dogrel.

I'm on statin and muscle pains is a reality. Also, statins does impact Liver and does increase HBA1C (Blood Glucose). 1000s of videos of doctors outside India saying the same. I was on 5mg Rosuvastatin before for about 1.5yrs and then for last 5 months I'm on 5mg Atorvastatin. Atorvastatin has lower muscle pain.

Hello sir my LDL was 135 now its 108 and HDL was 24 now is 27 I did this with life style changes with diet exercise reduce smoking and specially Including olive oil in cooking..
