As someone who grow-up 2 blocks from this train in the 70's 80's and 90's . And played on it at the Fair grounds in 70's .This is my all time favorite Frisco Mikado , this pleases me to see it running sent 1954 when was retired. I work on the A&M Railroad on the weekends as a train conductor. Thank You

this is a big surprise a new model to start the new year and i learned a new thing that i didn't know the frisco had mikado's (guess i've paid too much attention to the 1522 which i like a lot)

They also had a second series of mountains, which were rebuilt from 2-10-2s and had roughly 2x the power and weight of their T-54 cousins.

@@trainman5552 My two personal favorite classes both happen to be extinct, which is a total shame because they were awesome. The first was the 4300 and 4400 class heavy 4-8-2s, and the second was the T74 class 2-8-2s, which, similarly, were much larger than their older cousins... In fact, besides the PRR L1, the Frisco 4200s were some of the biggest Mikados in the country.

I would love for one of the Frisco 2-8-2 Mikados be purchased and operate on the Grand Canyon Railway, Since 539 is heading back home to Washington State. Very sad that locomotive never operated on the GCRY, but at least it was kept in good cosmetic condition.

Aidan Murray there’s a GS pack on the Trainz Forge site by Daylighttrain. I asked him to do this before, and he simply replied: Go check on JointedRail (Daylighttrain’s GS pack didn’t exist back then) for their SP GS-4’s (Not sure if they’re still there anymore.).

The Frisco railroad had USRA1 Mikado's from 1917 to 1919 built by Alco and Lima locomotive works to locomotives survived from the Frisco railroad numbers 4003 and 4018 very nice locomotives.
