Was meinst Du mit "Köln District"? Köln ist eine selbständige Stadt, gehört zum Land Nord-Rhein-Westfalen (größte Stadt in NRW, viertgrößte in Deutschland). Es gibt keinen "Köln District"! Es gibt auch keinen "Düsseldorf District" oder "Essen District". Das sind kreisfreie Großstädte. Und warum zeigst Du immer nur die Fußgängerzonen? Die sehen überall gleich aus. In Köln gäbe es so viele interessante historische Gebäude zu zeigen, nicht nur den Dom....

Cologne (Köln) is one of the most dirty cities of Germany, so I don’t understand how some people can call it nice and beautiful. For driving it’s even the worst city of Germany with the most one way roads. I never have done so many circling and following diversions because of the one way roads that it could be funny if it wouldn’t be so annoying (time wise especially).

I when to Enschede, Holland for my Family Reunion and than travel around 5 European Countries, plus we walk around Koln, Germany at that big church and also visit the Museum net door. I had live in Germany for 3 1/2 years during the 1974. I have families living in 12 different Countries around the World.

My wife and I were on holiday in koln a few years ago and it was very warm the trams had no aircon so every chance we go we went into a store that had aircon and cooled down there, thank goodness our hotel had aircon good thing as well it was superb to sit out at 6:30 am and eat breakfast knowing that the rest of the day was ours to laze about and do sightseeing,

The Cologne Cathedral is definitely a must visit but can really be done in two hours. ... But the reason why it's worth sticking around in Cologne for a night in late November/December is because of the Cologne Christmas Markets.
