I think I heard this song at the end of the movie "Meet Joe Black" and I fell in love with it. I searched and found the Hawaiian Gentleman singing it and it sent me off on a tear trying to find some old Army Buddies of mine. Then following up a search on the Gentleman I found he had expired and was a well loved personality in Hawaii. And later, low and behold, that Wrestler 'The Rock' sang it in a move "Journey to Mysterious Island." The song is beautiful, GOD BLESS!!!

I loved Jason on American Idol and I love his voice. But sorry, only Israel Kamakawiwo'ole does justice to this beautifully haunting arrangement of this song. Braddah Iz was a legend and his beautiful voice and spirit remain forever as the true master of this song.

Sorry guys, this song was sang back in the early 90's & the way he's singing it is from the original - Braddah IZ. The original always sounds better, when i heard Jason sing this song he should have told everyone it was from Braddah Israel Kamakawaole in Hawaii - look it up - Braddah Iz passed away in the early 90's - Hawaii will truly miss a very wonderful singer - very humble & loving towards everyone!!

And their happiness is in a place so far away in a land of make believe. Somewhere over the rainbow. This would be the best song for someone dying of cancer and telling you that they are going to heaven to find peace.
