Great work on one of the best looking F1 cars. Thanks for sharing

Excellent job! For me this is one of the most beautiful Formula 1 cars of all time and you nailed it. Thank you for share it. I tried to build this same kit a few years, ago but I failed miserably! It was the first time a Tamiya's kit gave me an AMT's kit attitude and refused to be built :-( Since then I bought another kit but never had a chance to build it.
I just purchased this model on ebay and this is the standard i'm aiming for! great work!!

Thanks for sharing this beautiful build! Your exhaust is spectacular. Also, seeing how you create your shocks and brake discs is really helpful. :D

Great work, can I ask, is the metal work on the brakes dry brushed on? It looks fantastic and I might give it a go.
@asmiscellanies3 ай бұрын
That's right. Finally, I dry brushed it lightly with silver.

Amazing details! Definetly something I can learn a lot from! Would love to see more about the technics and materials. Maybe slowing down the speed a bit? Which colors where used for the exhaust/weld detailing and gearbox?
@asmiscellanies3 жыл бұрын
For exhaust, I used black(creos), premium miller chrome, clear blue , clear red (Gaianotes). Steel and silver for weld mark(creos). Gearbox was painted german gray at first. next I coated with silver. Finally, drybrush with silver.

Hold on. Can someone help. The engine detailing. Is he painting a lacquer or acrylic base coat in silver, and then putting on a second coat with black enamel, and then using enamel thinner to remove the black paint over the ford logo/lettering design to reveal the silver under the black??? Am I getting describing his technique correctly?

I used electric wire for model train. This wire dia. is 0.8mm. The connector is a combination of beads and a heat shrink tube. You can see it in my Benneton B188 video. These materials were got at hobby shop, electric parts shop and handcraft shop.
