even at best 20hp may be a power boost on a 70hp engine but you would not even notice it on a 300hp engine they should really measure these in % gains still unless your engines breathing through a straw or your filter is plugged full of dirt these things do nothing

Would need to see track times to be definitive

Yes, perhaps not fair to compare to the numbers that K&N got. Did a similar test on a 2019 Ram and got much closer to documented gains.

But the hoods open... Real world under a hot hood prob looses hp

But also consider under real world conditions at WOT speeds there is a rush of air coming through the intake and engine compartment that our fan does not replicate. I would say they cancel each other out.

i installed it on my 5.7 300c, awd and no noticable gain in acceleration or max speed, just more noise from intake, probable gain is about 5hp if is at all, because only noticable gain is with 6.1 cam

Yes if you want real gains you need a custom tune
@makantahi37313 жыл бұрын
@@dynomiteperformance i doubt in this , because even with custom tune from johan , without cam, no noticable gain

@@Bill-bi7sk no, people imagine if put on car some sticker, they gain some power, my mechanic that works on american cars said: horses do not come so easy, why would you gain some big power by kn if oem filter is clean, and it does not make some restriction on air flow that would eat some noticable power, stock 5.7 is very well optimized, just with one change noting happens,even if replace all exhaust with intake filter, that could be noticed, the cheapest and fastest mod is to install better cam
