K&N intake 18 Ram Sound better than stock??

Not sure I want to install an exhaust on my new Ram. Checking to see if there is a sound difference after the K&N install.

I did the same on my own truck and it was astonished, because much better than your result. Maybe you didn´t open the throttle enough ... Greetings from Lower Saxony

sounds better than the intake I just put on. Mine doesnt sound a whole lot different. But I already have a magnaflow on too, so maybe it drowns it out. I think its the 18" magnaflow so its not blow your eardrums out loud but it grumbles more than stock when you get on it.

Hey how’s the magnaflow , I want a little More oomph my 2014 longhorn so quite sounds wussy . But I also don’t want a loud arrogant roar. Just a little more

@@teebo5298 I ended up removing the magnaflow and getting a Total flow 15633 off Amazon. It's a bit louder than the magnaflow but I'm actually gonna take that one off here soon and get a little bit louder one. Don't want stupid loud but not quite a 80%+ throttle exhaust either. Which is how the magnaflow was. You had to floor it to really hear much.

you should’ve had the camera in front of the truck it usually doing a different intake makes the engine sound either more open or choked

Coulda saved some $ and got the diesel airbox...Same box as gas but deeper for more available air.

I have a similar kn filter and for me it was because it improves sound horsepower and gas mileage on the highway and I payed 300 bucks for mine

payed 220 for mine used, in my opinion the launch definitely improved, mpg didn’t improve a whole lot. about a 1.5 mile increase, but i guess if your truly looking into performance mpg is your least worries. in other words, if your going for performance YES. for daily use of the average joe.. not very great for mpg wise.
