I just put mine in and loyal K&N fan here. 20x20 will see how the cleaning goes once I need it. Living in TX and running A/C 2/3 of the year I need something sturdy as well as filtering my air.

lasko read my mind and built a box fan filter that uses a 20x20x1 filter. also bought a kn panel filter for it.

Can you guys make a video on how to put the adjustment screws in properly? I don't want to drill into the filter and damage it, but my 20x20x1 filter is a bit too small.

What's the merv rating and what's the airflow brand new vs say 31 days? Is it going to choke hvacs and burn them up? Or is it still efficient ie under .25 new and staying under .40 or .60 dirty

Will the cleaner for the auto cabin filter have compatibility with the home filter?

I installed a 14x24x1 in my system and sadly it hurt the performance of my system, prior to K&N filter I noticed that when I shut the doors in the my home the spare bedroom and bathroom would get real toasty when heat kicks on. Installed this then started noticing that they were not anymore, first thing I did was put my hand to registers and immediately noticed that there was less airflow coming out. Checked the filter they appeared clean but went ahead and purchased the cleaner, let it dry several days then reinstalled. Still reduced airflow so pulled it out re-installed old paper filter and alomst immediately felt more airflow coming out of register then after a bit rooms were toasty again. Disappointing as this wasn't that cheap and I always had good luck with them in my cars 😞

@@KNfilters no thanks replaced paper merv 11 with K&N merv 11 then just re-installed Merv 11 paper to get system back to normal, not interested in going to Merv 8 to use a washable.

sadly I found restrictive as well, when installed the supply air coming out of registers was reduced (by hand feel), removed to re-install paper filter and supply airflow appeared to increase back to normal. Also, rooms weren't getting toasty with doors closed with K&N but did so when I re-installed paper.

@@austinrecla4872 Nobody runs their hvac system year round. $10 for around a years worth of filters is the best bang for the buck. No wasting time cleaning filters. Pop in a fresh new one and life goes on.

​@@thulsa5218 there is no way you're getting a year out of 3 filters. In Texas, we are changing our filters every 30 days with Merv 10 and if you go any longer, you risk burning up your HVAC from flow restriction. Within 9 months, you've justified the $35 cost of the K&N washable filter.
