www.hardknock.tv sat down with K'Naan to talk about his beef with K-OS, how it started (B-Boy Stance), his response (Revolutionary Avocado) and where they stand now. K'Naan also stopped by our studios to perform "Somalia" which is one of the new tracks on his new album Troubadour. His also spit a freestyle and sat down for a lengthy interview. Tune in next week for more videos from K'Naan!

See? This is how intelligent, mature artists settle their disputes. If people would have been thinking like this back in the day, We'd still have some great, intelligent artists that we've regretfully lost in the past.

I have never heard of KOs, but now K9 his big in the states. The talk of beef has helped KOs in the states and given him a little exposure. I lestened to some of his music and he is good, but he is old now. Knaan is the future, not for canada but for the world. he is setting a new stardard.

Both from Canada i been a fan o K-Os since superstar 2.0 plus he has trini roots but knaan's troubadour is 1 o d best album i've heard dis yr. but, they are both conscience ppl & not token black men tryin 2 prove 2 erry1 they're d next scarface so i expect nothin 2 come outta dis. hopefully they'll both settle it & make a record. I know i'd love 2 hear them collaborate 4 sure

@parthcmodi yea ur right he did say that, but im sure he was referring to K'OS cuz from what i know he's pretty regilious guy, cool guy doesnt let anyone influence him, I also grew up in toronto and i remember all the somali's talking bout him before he was famous to others, cuz at the time he was only famous in our community and i know this through relatives of his. Everyone knows that he doesnt do drugs, He see's life beyond that. Never met K'naan before. But hope some day i will.

@CozmikMonkey I agree with you about that man. k-os was putting out some real classic hip hop with well, i think everything BEFORE the Yes! album. Like even his music video for "I wish i new natalie portman" is nothing like his video's before with mad breakers everywhere and his subtle fashion style. It was weird listening and seeing the video, as i watched k-os from the days of Heaven Only knows & Superstar.

Way better? A few may say he is better, but no one can say 'way' better. They have 2 different styles and they are fans of each other. K9 is blowing up here in the states. Everyone love his shows. He was in DC a few weeks ago and the crowd was diverse. This album is a success and a classic just as was his first. The thrid album will catapult him to the level of bob marley. K9 is a great canadian rapper, k'naan is global. they are friends.

I think they are both amazing artists, but when it comes to being in touch with the true reality of this world K'naan grew up in some of the worst shit this world has to offer up. the fact the he is so graceful, respectful and soft spoken to other people speaks wonders to his character and his music.

He says "He came up to me, I think had a little bit to drink" I can see how people think he said "I had", but I'm pretty sure he was referring to K-OS. He has come out as saying he's never tasted alcohol. He mentioned it in Revolutionary Avocado that K-OS is the one who drinks. And, if someone of his stature came out and said he'd never done these things, and he had, he'd be outed. So, until the footage comes up somewhere, I'm believing K'Naan has refrained from drinking his whole life.
