Muse is giving homage to all pop-music generations from 70s to 2000. SGMB is 70s. CLOSER THAN THIS represents 1980s generation. WHO is very 1990. BE Mine is represents the strong influence of acoustic feels of early 2000 music. SLOW DANCE is the modern song that we all are waiting for.

I'm an older fan (54) and I hear and see influences from the 80's and even the early 2000's but it's completely Modern too. Jimin (and his crew) really outdid themselves. I'm enjoying watching him grow as a young man and artist! He keeps raising the bar. Absolute Banger.

I honestly don't know how BTS members keep doing it. Constantly giving us fresh new sounds, things we didn't know we wanted. Synth & Spanish guitar? But it works! It is still hard to believe they did all this work before enlisting. There really isn't any group who works this hard and thinks about their fans as much as BTS. I actually love and respect them all. Congrats Jimin, you nailed it AGAIN!💜

Jimin will always be someone who is an over achiever in everything he does, always learning, and striving to do better. you really should listen to the rest of album and post your reaction. be mine and reborn, and this one are my top 3 of the album. i fell in love with jimin almost instantly in blood sweat tears and he always is suprising me with his ever growing talent. and with all that talent he is still a wonderful humble decent kind human being we all could learn something from. also a lot of the stuff in the mv is reference to his own album...and some other things too that not even army has figured out completely yet. thank god for them though cause i can never piece all of it together on my own

The beginning of the video showed 1995. I assumed it was because of his birth year. We did use VHS tapes and VCRs then. Lol. I love this song and the MV.

Jimin admitted he got vocal training. Also he worked on his English. The album is so good. Though he didn’t write this one he did compose and write the other 6. Tracks are amazing

I agree, his unique vocal tone is still the same but he has learned how to better use his voice without having to strain or do damage to his vocal chords. It still sounds amazing but much more relaxed.

Thats Jimin, he keeps on growing, learning. Also learning English. Very hardworking. I admire his personality a lot. This song is a banger. He is experimenting on Retro music just like Smeraldo. He gets inspiration from the Beatles.

This was supposed to be a 1990s vibe. All throughout you'll see signs of that. Like many said it gives an old music video cassette player vibe. Which is why you get the reverb as well. I absolutely love it. The tornado of love most likely represents how much he wants love but he still hasn't found that one. I can't wait till they do the making of this

When Jimin joined BTS, he did not get the vocal training the other members did. Matter of fact, Jimin went to JHope and JK or V (I think it was JK) to ask them if he could sit in on their vocal coach training sessions. They said he could, then he went off to himself to practice what the coaches told JHope and JK to do. It is my understanding, BigHits was not sure Jimin was going to be part of BTS group and they could not afford to pay for Jimin's vocal training. Jimin started out in hip hop and Kpop but changed to contemporary dance. Jimin said contemporary dance changed the way his body moved and BitHits almost kicked him out 8 times before they decided to keep him. He was only accepted in the group the day before their debut. All the other BTS members had two to three years training, but Jimin only trained around six months. Can you imagine BTS without Jimin? RM on numerous occasions has commented on Jimin's contribution to the group. He stated Jimin was the standout and brought attention to the group. He is the one who caught people's eyes. All the BTS members are extremely talented and I don't want to take away from any of them. If you want to know more about Jimin's dancing and singing in the beginning, there are several videos called Jimin Lead Vocalist and Jimin Main Dancer that covers the information I mentioned above. I highly recommend these informative videos on KZbin. In RM and Jimin's recent interview, they discussed how Jimin went back for basic training in vocals. His coach said the way he sang was damaging to his vocals and so you are right, Jimin's vocals has gone up a notch. Jimin said his vocals are more relaxed now but I think he is going to continue training.

i grew up with VHS tapes so i knew right away. i also remember Beta tapes (i think its called) the ones before VHS. i still have a lot of VHS tapes from my childhood and an ancient machine to play it lol.

@lealarsen2017 Beta was a format created by Japan around the same time. Smaller yet superior in many ways but had terrible marketing. American VHS won, and Betas disappeared mostly. TMI, as usual. Lol Sorry
